Web-based documents for images that have a continuous or flat color

JPEG & GIF ComparisonJPEG (Left): retains colors better

File Format and UsesBitmap (.bmp): Electronic presentations, e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint or Microsoft Word, commonly used for Windows

TIFF (Tagged-Image File Format): Print documents, scanned images, when high quality and precision is required; tiff files can be changed for either larger or smaller files without losing precision.

EPS (Encapsulated PostScript): Print publication and illustrations
