Kappa Alpha Psi’s D.C. alumni chapter drew a sellout crowd for their annual Celebrity Auction and Soul Food Fest to help raise money for the Kappa Scholarship Endowment Fund (KSEF). The event at Howard University’s Blackburn Center marked the latest round in the growth of the fund that has provided more than $1.5 million in college scholarships for nearly 500 D.C. public school students since 1984. This year the fund has provided 28 students with four-year, $1,000 -a-year scholarships totaling $112,000. Guest auctioneers included D.C.
