Rangs group follow some methods for pricing the Sony corporations products because they are importing these product from Japan and china. So they adopt a pricing strategy for maximize their profit.

Sony adopts a number of pricing strategies. The pricing strategies are based much on what objectives the company has set itself to achieve.

Penetration pricing:

Where the organization sets a low price to increase sales and market share. like sony used penetration pricing in some pf theier product , such as- their tv,dvd, casset ,fan, player, speakers, etc

Skimming pricing:

The organization sets an initial high price and then slowly lowers the price to make the product available to a wider market. The objective is to skim profits of the market layer by layer.

For example- refregeretor,LCD tv, IPS,

Competition pricing: Setting a price in comparison with competitors.

Example- refregaretor,washing machine, dvd player

Product Line Pricing:

Pricing different products within the same product range at different price points.

Example would be,sony offering different video recorders with different features at different prices. The greater the features and the benefit obtained the greater the consumer will pay. This form of price discrimination assists the company in maximizing turnover and profits.

Bundle Pricing:

The organisation bundles a group of products at a reduced price.

Psychological pricing:

The sony corp. here consider the psychology of price and the positioning of price within the market place. The seller will therefore charge 9999tk instead 10000tk or 1499 instead of 1500 tk.

Public relation is one of the major mass-promotion tools. Public relation means building good relations

with the companies various publics by obtaining favorable publicity, building up a good corporate image,

and handling or handing off unfavorable rumors, stories, and events.

Since the start of its operations, Sony has given top priority to maintain public relations by giving high-

quality products and services. The Sony Group Code of Conduct, established in May 2003, compels Sony

to continuously seek ways to comply with or exceed legally mandated standards in all aspects of its

business activities to ensure the safety and satisfaction of customers who use its products and/or

services. This code of conduct shows the awareness of Sony on maintaining good public relation. The

public relation departments of Sony also perform many functions. These functions are described below.

Sony always creates and places newsworthy information to attract the attention to a person, product, or

product more conveniently. Sony does these things

to increase their public relation with the people.
