rTs tubular motors Wireless
Radio technology has become very popular and is now an essential part of motor control. Somfy has developed a range of motors with integrated radio receivers based on (RTS) Radio Technology Somfy. (RTS) offers a high perform-ance, convenient and reliable solution for rolling shutter automation which is easy to set up. RTS motors for roller shutters include; Altus RTS, Orea RTS and the Oximo RTS.

Frequency and security
With Somfy RTS, commands are transmitted by radio (frequency 433.42 MHz) which uses rolling code technology with over 16 million combinations to provide a safe and secure operation. The range is 200 meters in free space and 20 meters through reinforced concrete walls.
highly flexible
RTS motors are highly flexible in end-user control. For example you may have one remote control assigned to several motors or one remote control assigned to one motor. Radio assignment can be changed at any time without re-wiring.
Intermediate positions
With Somfy’s RTS motors it is possible to program favorite or preferred intermediate positions. For example consider setting a ‘half shade’ for an awning or the ‘daylight opening’ of roller shutters.

automatic operation
RTS tubular motors can also be operated automatically, for example with the Soliris Sensor RTS sun and wind system (for awnings) or the wireless timer Chronis RTS (for roller shutters). A sun and wind sensor operates the awning based on sun and wind measurement. You can program the times you want the roller shutters to open and close using the Chronis timer. A light function is also possible as an extra option.
altus rTs
Standard RTS tubular motor for blinds, awnings and roller shutters. Altus RTS works with electronic end limits and does not carry out any automatic corrections like in the Orea or Oximo motors..
orea rTs
The Orea RTS tubular motor has been developed for cassette awnings. Orea RTS carries out automatic corrections as the awning is fully retracted back to a closed position. Fabric stretch is compensated by the automatic correction. This ensures that the awning always opens and closes perfectly, even if the fabric has stretched slightly over time.
oximo rTs
The Oximo RTS tubular motor, was introduced for roller shutters in early 2004. The Oximo motor has intelligent obstacle detection in both the up and down directions. If assembled with the appropriate accessories, the motor will sense an obstacle in the down direction and stop if the shutter is frozen whilst trying to travel up. This motor also makes adjustments to the limit positions on a monthly basis if required.

Somfy’s standard tubular motors are available in a range of sizes suitable for every type of application.
The LS40 series tubular motor has a 40 mm diameter and is specifically suitable for rollers and venetian blind applications. The standard 50 and 60 series HiPro tubular motors are suitable for larger awnings and roller shutters. All HiPro tubular motors incorporate several design features which simplify installation. Features such as push-button limit switches to set limit positions quickly and easily.

The Somfy ABS system for roller shutters provides an obstacle detection function in the downwards direction. The system disconnects if the casing gets stuck or hits an obstacle. The final setting of the motor is not affected by this.The Somfy ABS system can be used on motors from the series 50 (except Ilmo WT, Oximo RTS, Oximo WT, Orea WT, Altus RTS and Orea RTS) and series 50/ CSI with a connection up to 30 Nm. Suitable for use with smaller roller shutters with an aluminium or plastic casing. There is an ABS system for both mounting situations, regardless of whether the motor is installed to the right or left.
