What a busy term we’ve had parcipang in Naonal Tree Day, NAIDOC Day, Premier’s Debang Challenge, Athlecs, Educaon Week, Todd Woodbridge Tennis Cup, Chess, an author visit, Life Educaon, Beach Smart talks, Super Hero Day, Premier’s Spelling Bee, Band Workshop, Small Schools Soccer Knockout and the Small Schools Spectacular….just to name a few! I’m sure you’ll all agree that these holidays will be well-deserved. NSW Small Schools Soccer Knockout We made it! Finals day is happening today and we are all a bit excited! This is the third year in a row that the Somersby ‘Strikers’ have made the finals day and we are hoping to make it back-to-back wins. A big thanks to our support crew who were able to come along on the team bus today and cheer on the side. Keep an eye on our school Facebook page for results! Share Our Space During week days of these school holidays our school grounds will once again be open for public use. A security guard will be on site to ensure there are no issues. Farmer Friday Tomorrow we will be celebrang the last day of term by having a ‘Farmer Friday’ muſti day. Students are encouraged to come to school dressed as farmers for a gold coin donaon. All proceeds will be donated to the ‘Buy a Bale of Hay’ charity. Assembly Tomorrow aſternoon our Year 6 Leaders will be running a whole school assembly from 2pm in the hall. Country Fair Colouring in Competition Congratulations to the following students who have gained first prize in the annual Country Fair Colouring in Competition: William, Sophie, Nina , Josh, Sunny, Emmerson, Maggie and Sam. These students can collect their $4.00 prize money from the prize pick up point at the Fair on Saturday 20th October.
Congratulations also to our runners up: Emily M., Roxy, Sienna, Madelyn, Breannah, Odin, Lucy and Blake.
The judges were very impressed with the quality of all the entries from Somersby PS this year. Well done everyone!
School Website Today I am attending training for the new school website platform. It is also the day our school’s website will be migrated to the new site to go live. During this time, you might not be able to view some content from our old website (including this week’s newsletter). The newsletter can still be viewed on the school app. I apologise for any inconvenience during this change over period.

P&C News
Last week a survey went out asking whether we stay with our current gold
coloured polo or change to a new gold polo with black panelling. The survey re-
sults are in with 34 surveys being returned. The result was comprehensively in
favour of going to the new style polo by 31 votes to 3. We will order all new uni-
form and hopefully we will have it available for purchase in Term 1 of next year.
Country Fair - Notes will be going home in relation to helpers being needed at this
years Country Fair. Our school runs the show bag and lucky dip stand. All we ask is
for a couple of hours of your time selling the show bags at the stand on the Satur-
day or packing up in the afternoon or setting up the marquee on Friday. The Date
