Solenoid valves in angle body let us minimize the installation sizes significantly, which is important in block boiler rooms, gas distributing plants and other objects with limited space. Resistance of such valves is on the average 40% less than similar linear ones.

3-position solenoid valves operate in «max. flow rate», «intermediate flow rate» and «closed» modes.
3-position solenoid valves allow to regulate volume of gas flow automatically.

("Siemens", Germany) electric power drives may be applied as actuators.а) For SP0 actuator control voltage is supplied on electromotor and opens (closes) the flapper to the position limited by the
S3 and S4 limit switched. The rotor of the electric motor is connected through a gear with switches S3 and S4 and with the axis of the position transmitter B1 or B3. The resistance of rheostatic type transmitter can be either 2000 Ohm or 100 Ohm (should be specified in the order). Current variation range for electronic transmitter (B3) is 4…20 mA.
Connection circuit of rheostatic transmitter equipped with 2 additional positional switches (S5 и S6) is shown on pic. 1, with current transmitter - pic. 2.
б) LM24A–SR (GDB 161.1E) actuator is operated by standart signal 0...10 V and opens (closes) the valve's flapper to the position, indicated by control signal. Feedback voltage U represents the flapper position in the range 0...100 % of max. flow, and also sets control current for other actuators. Connection scheme is shown on pic. 3.
2. For the valves with positional regulation the power drives LF230-S ("Belimo", Switzerland), GMA 321.1E ("Siemens", Germany) are applied as actuators. The actuator moves the flapper to its normal operating position, stretching the return spring simultaneously. In the case of power shutdown, the spring returns the flapper to its initial position, using the energy stored in the spring. The scheme of electrical connections is shown on pic. 4.
The valve equipped with LF230-S (GMA 321.1E) electric power drive may perform the vavle's slow opening and fast closing function. Gas flow diagram is shown on pic. 5. In this case the mechanical stoppers of the actuator should be at the end points.When the valve is opening initial capacity is 10% of max. flow rate. During the actuator's operation gas flow increases up to 100% of max. flow rate. After the valve is closed, the spring moves the valve's flapper to its initial position during 20 sec. After that period of time the valve may be opened again.

Field of applicationDouble solenoid gas valves are applied in remote control systems of various gases, including
hydrocarbon gases, gas phases of liquified gases, compressed air and other non-aggressive gases and perform the function of safety shut-off and control device for continuous operating in various gas consumpting and gas distributing systems.
The double valve is a multifunctional gas flow control device. It consists of 2 solenoid valves combined in one housing and can perform the function of 3-position step-by-step regulation, smooth and slow opening and fast closing of gas flow (depends on the type of the double valve).
Such valves are applied widely in front of gas burners and similar devices, which require multistage gas flow control. Such valves also have much smaller dimensions, than gas valves block units.
