Path. We will proceed with our discussion of the other interconnected factors of the path, that when developed together, lead to the cessation of dukkha or suffering.
So far we talked about three elements of Right View – Right knowledge of the Self, Right understanding of the purpose of life and Right awareness of the laws of nature. Talking of the laws of nature, Buddha’s teachings were centered on ‘impermanence’ – the immutable law that states that everything that arises will perish. The NobleEightfold Path A new perspective
There is something special about the Japanese bamboo. No matter how much care you take after planting the seed, in the first few months nothing significant happens. Moreover, its growth is very slow during the first seven years and one might tend to think that all the care and nourishment did not yield good results. However towards the end of the seventh year, and that too, in a span of six weeks, the bamboo grows more than 30 meters!
People on the spiritual path sometimes tend to be impatient and give up their practices, often at a crucial time when mighty transformations were about to begin. It takes persistent effort and time to build-up energies, or for that matter, any virtue. Just like the Japanese bamboo, outwardly you may not see much progress happening, but when the right time comes, you will rapidly progress. Not a single effort ever goes unrewarded, and this is the Law. “Thy will eat the fruits of your labour; blessings and prosperity will be yours.” – Psalm 128.2
The seeds of wisdom and techniques given to you are immeasurably precious. For the seeds to spread roots in your life, you must nourish them with contemplation and diligent practice. Then the latent power within them will emerge with mighty force, bringing success to you in all levels. Remember: ‘You are destined to be successful.’

RIGHT VIEW
PART 2
Samma Sankappa is more often interpreted as Right Intention comprising of:
• Intention of renunciation • Intention of good will and • Intention of harmlessness
1) Intention of Renunciation: Renunciation is NOT about renouncing all actions or aspirations, but giving-up ordinary actions and mundane desires to devout oneself more to the spiritual path and living a purpose-driven life. It also means non-attachment to the fruits of actions. In the Baghavat Gita Lord Krishna says: “You have the right to perform your actions, but not to the fruits of your actions. Do not let the fruits be the purpose of your actions; nor be attached to inaction.” However, this statement has many levels of understanding and should not lead to the conclusion that you must expect nothing in return. As Grandmaster Choa Kok Sui says: “A farmer should expect to harvest
it is towards people – even feelings – for everything is bound to change. On a mental level, it is holding to opinions, ideas and beliefs. In one-way or the other, all these lead to suffering.
Let’s summarize our discussion on Right View: Right knowledge of the Self: The
path to cessation of sufferings begins with this first step of ‘true identity’ of the Self. You have to view the world with the awareness that you are not the body, but a Spiritual Being of Divine Intelligence, Divine Love and Divine Power.
Right understanding of the purpose of life: You the Soul are on a spiritual journey on earth in order to learn and to evolve. When you maintain your awareness that you are a traveller on a spiritual journey, pain and sufferings becomes a necessary tool for learning and growth.
Right awareness of the laws of nature: “What you sow in the inner world or energy world is what you reap in the outer world or physical world.” All your thoughts are potent seeds that, when matured, make you harvest a corresponding fruit – sweet or bitter – according to the nature of your thought.
Everything will change and nothing can be an absolute basis for happiness. Therefore cultivating awareness that things do change will lead to lasting peace and happiness.
Right Motive: We now move on to the second limb of the path: Sammā Sankappa or Right Motive. Sammā Sankappa can also mean right intention, right aspiration or
right resolve.

what he has sown.” The emphasis here is on the motive or intention behind actions that needs to be pure, like ‘doing good for the sake of doing good.’ Grandmaster has taught the concept of decree where anyone having an issue to be healed such as health or relationship can donate for charity and decree that, part of the good karma generated from that kind action return to him or her in healing the issue. However the purpose of decreeing is to assist you in healing or resolving a crisis; it is not intended to make you do good actions just for personal gains, like donating money for avoiding taxes. It is good that organizations are being helped, but since the motive for donation was primarily to save on taxes, the effect of such donations in generating good karma is minimal. So while you do
benevolent actions, keep in mind what Krishna said: “Do not let the fruits be the purpose of your actions.”
2) Intention of good will: This is also called Loving-kindness and can be expressed in many ways. In a simple way, it is to be kind and helpful to others, refraining from anger or aversion towards others. It also includes sharing your resources with people in need.
However for a spiritual aspirant, Loving-kindness is shown on different levels. The Masters say: “Anyone can feed the body. But only those who know can feed the soul.” Hence the priority of people on the path is to support the planet and its inhabitants in entering the next stage of evolutionary progression. The aspirant has a purpose-driven life where every activity is oriented towards this objective.
3) Intention of harmlessness: This is also known as Ahimsa or non-injury, and as with other virtues, this too has many levels of implications that include practicing Ahimsa physically, verbally and mentally by abstaining from critical thoughts directed towards others. As per the ‘Law of Multiplier effect’, the effects of harm caused to others in any form return many-fold when the action karmically matures. And the karmic consequences of cruelty shown to people or other beings are very severe, often resulting in dreadful diseases or painful conditions.
Ahimsa towards self is also very important, as you are responsible for the wellbeing of others. Therefore you need to be kind to yourself by taking care of your health with proper diet and exercises, and refrain form harmful habits and activities that deplete your physical, emotional and mental resources.
Practicing Ahimsa towards self and others by NOT taking sorrow or pain due to people’s opinions or behavior is also very important. One Indian slogan says: “Na dukh do, na dukh lo,” meaning, ‘Neither give sorrow, nor take sorrow.’ This is very important for spiritual aspirants because as your spiritual energies are strong, people who make you suffer will have to face severe karmic consequences, and this is bad. That is why Lord Jesus Christ prayed: “Lord forgive them for they no not what they are doing.” Therefore whenever there is a tendency for you to get hurt, bless the people involved with so much of love and compassion that they do not incur a karmic liability for causing pain to you. At certain level, the virtue of Love and Compassion replaces the virtue of Tolerance because in Tolerance you are still affected in someway.
To be continued…
Rekindle the flame within you to face each and every challenge with love, power and wisdom.
Breathe and switch on your inner bulb.Visualize yourself being a radiant star which is
shining so bright. Focus with awareness and let your soul guide you in this wondrous voyage of life.
