In this issue, we would like to put your attention on our Final Conference that will take place on 27th of May 2013 in Brussels: all the Pro- ject Partners of SOL – Save Our Lives, are pleased to invite YOU! Moreover we are proud to inform you that the SOL activities in Austria on awareness raising workshops for risky, young drivers are nominated for the SYN- APTIC Awards for Excellence in Seamless Mobility. Then we focus on the last statistics on road safety data 2012 published by European Commission and on a research on people who drive for work and their accidents risk . You can also learn more about the Second UN Glo- bal Road Safety Week to be held 6-12 May 2013 that will be dedicated to pedestrian safety. The final conference will discuss project achievements, demonstrating final results on its pilot activities targeted on innovative ac- tions for improving Road Safety in the con- sidered Pilot Areas in Italy, Austria, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia, Czech Republic and Slova- kia. The future EU programmes for Road Safe- ty will also be outlined and discussed with the representatives of the Road Safety Unit of DG creased in the past years. The project aims at giving professional qualities, experiences and tools to local public administrations to increase the road safety in their competence areas. MOVE. Then a round table will be attended by local politicians who have contributed to the realisation of the 12 pilot projects in the seven countries involved. The event will give Road Safety stakeholders an outstanding opportunity to exchange their best practices and know-how and learn more about Road Safety.
