INTRODUCTION

Soil cement brick are energy efficient alternative materials to the normal burnt clay bricks used for construction of buildings. Soil cement brick are also known as stabilized mud brick .

Ordinary Portland cement is the most usual stabiliser added 5 to 10% by weight to the soil. Other stabilisers like lime, puzzolana or a combination of cement and lime are also used.

. From the environmental considerations also, use of soil cement blocks in construction work result a substantial saving of energy as no fuel is required for its manufacture.

SUBJECT OF WORK

The subject of work is to make the soil cement brick with flyash. In this brick, soil cement and flyash will

be used. These brick will be economical and consume less thermal energy during production

AIM AND OBJECTIVE

AIM :- To study behavior of soil cement brick with fly

ash.

OBJECTIVE

The main objectives are ,•To reuduce the environmental impact.•Utilisation of waste material.•To check wheater soil cement brick with fly ash is better or not.

PLAN OF RESEARCH / PLAN OF WORK / METHODOLOGY

The process of manufacture of soil cement blocks involves the following five steps:

(1) Analysis of the soil & fly ash(2) Shifting of the soil (3) Preparation of the mix (4) Compaction of the bricks (5) Curing of the bricks

CURRENT STATUS Brought the soil that used in clay brick of Wardha

region. Ceratin test is going on soil to identify the type of soil like grain size test, OMC test ,CBR test etc.

Got the the brick mould of standard size of 19cm x 9cm x 9cm
