What does the ARIS 9 migration include?

ARIS 9 includes a lot of exciting new features and a new product architecture. Therefore

the upgrade will be planned and done in a very controlled process

• ARIS 9 installation: readiness assessment, upgrade installation, migration of existing

• ARIS 9 enablement: delta training for existing users, new ARIS trainings for new

ARIS 9 readiness assessment

The underlying technical architecture of ARIS 9 has

changed significantly compared to older versions.

Therefore it will be rolled out in multiple releases to

make sure that all potential scenarios are

covered and existing content and customized solutions

can be migrated at the right time.

• Assessment of existing ARIS installation (ARIS 7.x

products, technology, ARIS DB setup,

customizations, content, scripts, reports..)

• Development of a high-level upgrade /

installation roadmap

• Determination of system requirements (hard-ware,

software, physical databases, network connectivity,

etc.)

ARIS 9 training

The new ARIS version brings a new user interface that

simplifies the tool usage for end users significantly. To

get your project members up-to-speed quickly, we offer

two sets of training:

• ARIS 9 Delta Training

• 1,5 days of training for experienced ARIS users (ARIS as

we know it)

• 0,5 day for ARIS Connect

• Highlights the new developments in ARIS 9 and the

changes compared to version 7.x

• Standard ARIS 9 Training

• For new users without previous ARIS experience

• Curriculum contains multiple training offerings for

different user types (end user, admin, …)

Existing custom solution analysis

Migration is an important topic for a BPM / EAM program

that wants to upgrade to ARIS 9. This includes not only the

basic configuration, users and databases, but also all

custom reports, semantic checks and macros that were

developed for the program.

The existing custom solution analysis covers:

• Analysis of existing scripts and automated views

• Upgrade path (or replacement if functionality is

standard in version 9)

• Specification document & effort estimate

• Development and deployment plan

After authorization by the client, the development work

begins. It includes:

• Update / development of custom scripts (reports,

macros, semantic checks) and automated views

• Migration of ARIS 7 scripts to version 9

• Testing of custom scripts and automated views in client

• Deployment of updated / developed custom scripts to

client ARIS 9 production environment
