Individual document pages on the World Wide Web are called web pages and are accessed with a software application running on the user's computer, commonly called a web browser.
Web pages may contain text, images, videos, and other multimedia components, as well as web navigation features consisting of hyperlinks.
It is a client-server system.

Server-side refers to operations that are performed by the server in computer networking. Typically, a server is a computer program, such as a webserver, that runs on a remote server, reachable from a user's local computer or workstation.
Web ServersWeb server is an information technology that deliver Web pages. Every Web server has an IP address and possibly a domain name. For example, if you enter the URL http://www.google.com in your browser, this sends a request to the Web server whose domain name is google.com. The server then find the page and sends it to your browser.
Web Browser A web browser is a software application for retrieving and
presenting information resources on the World Wide Web.
An information resource is identified by a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI/URL) and may be a web page, image, video or other piece of content.
