- What can a map show? Maps can show different things. Some show neighborhoods, cities, land, and water. Most maps have titles. A title tells you what the map shows.

- How is a globe like Earth? Earth is round like a ball. Earth is made up of land and water. A globe is a model of Earth. A model is a small copy of something.

- What is the equator? The equator is an imaginary line around the middle of the Earth. The weather is very hot at and near the equator.
