Item Task

1. Read Socialnomics: Chapter 2

2. Read through the links that have been provided on the basics of creating content for social media. Keep this information in mind as you move forward in completing the weekly assignments.

3. You will need to tweet at least (3) social media pertinent tweets throughout the week using the #SMCE tag. Tweets should include links to relative information/stories/blogs or any other type of created content in the world of social media & commerce. Remember, you are required to tweet 25 times throughout the course of the semester so more is better.

4. You are required to write your next blog post on the basics of creating traditional content. Within this post, you will be required to outline key success factors of creating traditional content or your Keys to Success (the written word).

5. Part of maintaining a successful and engaging blog is to respond back to commentary posted on your site. It is expected that if anyone posts on your blog that you respond to that individual.

6. You are required to read (3) of your peer’s blog entries and post thoughtful commentary on their post.

7. Subscribe to the Newsletter Daily Social Sermo.( http://paper.li/ProfessorBrey/1316399467) Each class you will be required to discuss an article that you found within this newsletter (and I would assume tweet about – hint hint hint hint hint).

** Just a reminder: make sure that you subscribe to everyone’s blog within the class and turn on the automatic notice feature. This will ensure that you have a choice of which blogs to comment on and will let you know when you someone has posted additional comments.
