• Managers will need to be familiar with the policy to ensure compliance

• Review with your staff• With cell phone technology-you can record

and send video to any news outlet-so it’s not just known social media

• Includes chat rooms, personal websites, etc.

• Any person affiliated with CH (associates, MD, contractors, vendors, etc.)

• Supports Confidentiality, HIPAA, Code of Conduct, CH Computer Policy, Solicitation

• Everyone needs to be aware of any postings or comments that are about CH or work related items-need a gut check.

• There is no privacy on the web• You are responsible for what you post from

now until ?????

• Need approval from marketing and PR to create any presence that involves CH (or ministries)

• Do not disclose CH private, confidential, or proprietary information

• Do not post pictures taken on CH property without proper management authorization.

• Do not use your CH e-mail address for social media (unless social media is part of your CH job description)

• Be respectful• Think twice before connecting to

associates, customers, co-workers, etc.• Any negative material posted on the

web may have unintended consequences.

• Ask if you are not clear about what can be posted or not?

• Per the Policy:“Associates must not post anything that

is false, obscene, defamatory libelous, threatening or abusive whether in word, images, or audio about Catholic Health or anyone affiliated with the organization including other associates.”

subject to corrective action, up to and including termination of employment. See also HR 011, Conduct Principles and Corrective Action.”
