Social Recruiting is NOT Posting Jobs and Press ReleasesPosting job openings on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn is not Social Recruiting – it’s simply posting jobs on social networking sites.

Job posting is job posting – there’s nothing “social” about it, regardless of where the jobs are posted.

• Social Currency: We share what makes us look good. - People care about how they look to others, give something that makes them feel smart, cool and in the

know.• Triggers: We share what’s at the top of our minds.

- __________ makes people think of my organization.• Emotion: We share what we care about.

- Pride, security, happiness, relief, awe, excitement, anger, humor…• Public: We imitate what we see people around us are doing.

- Make sure people can see themselves there.• Practical Value: We share things that have value to others.

- People share content that is incredibly useful.• Stories: We share stories, not information.

- People find it easier to remember stories than facts, so find stories to share.
