How does SYKE work?

SYKE has two main principles:

Closeness: SYKE finds the interested enterprises and visits them

Locality: the SYKE consultants are working within the subregions in a close co-operation with the business developing authorities.

Pirkanmaa (the Tampere Region) is a region of 460 000 inhabitants. It is situated about 150 km north of Helsinki.

Unemployment rate in sub-regions is between 7% and 12%

SYKE MarketingTarget group:

In Tampere sub-region there are about 26 000 enterprises, in other sub-regions altogether about 11 000.

SYKE has chosen to market to micro and small enterprises (that cuts the total amount appr. 10%)

Use of telemarketing (finding those who might employ and/or those who are interested in employment subsidies)

14 of the 40 employees are people who have had difficulties in finding an employment. They are disabled or have been unemployed for years.

Our personnel is highly motivated. It is an advantage that being a social enterprise we can openly discuss the disabling factors and thus

create a perfect job combination.

The Rehabilitation Centre Mental is very active in developing private social and health care services in Finland.
