2020 Accomplishments
We delivered 1,897 frozen Meals on
Wheels to local seniors
We served 12,070 meals for pick-up and
delivery, a 40% increase over the meals
served in 2019!
We received 210% more donations than in
2019
We received $111,711 in grants! Three
times more than the previous year.
2020 BudgetRevenue:
Bad News: Thrift Store not open March to November, no facility rentals, no program revenue and most fundraisers cancelled.
Good News:
Individual donations were up thanks to our community and YOU!
Increased number of grants received.
King Co. Levy funds unaffected.
PPP (Payroll Protection Loan) received and will be forgiven.
Cares Act funds received for increased costs for the meal program.
Expenses:
Staffing levels stayed the same. Thrift Store Manager Angie pivoted to assisting in the kitchen which didn’t have volunteers until fall.
Meal program expenses increased with need for to-go boxes and additional gloves and masks.
Most expenses unchanged. (Year end financials not available yet)
Bottom Line: thanks to the PP loan, we will finish the year with an excess.
To Look Forward to in 2021
Gradually re-opening (at first with one on one
appointments, then with small groups, then nearly
normal!)
Vaccines becoming available
Increasing programming and outreach to those who
haven’t yet enjoyed our lovely Center.
Senior Housing in Carnation gets underway with the first
steps!
Evening programming to come!
More resources available due to FESH partnerships!
