• We will be traveling to Vietnam, Gia Bac Village• Going ( Tentative ) : May 1 - 4 • Coming Back ( Latest) : May 18 • To cater to those doing internships /

Camps

Project Objectives

• Increase the Water Hygiene level• Educate simple English to the village’s

kids• Inculcate value of service learning to

SMU students• Be aware of the less fortunate• Reinforce the need to give back to

the society

What would you be doing?

• Giving out Water filter to each households• Teaching the primary school kids on

water hygiene and simple English• Playing and interacting with the kids on

Sports Day & Cultural night• Building of Water Point for the School

Location

• Gia Bac Village• It is a 6 Hour drive from the Airport.• High up in the mountain therefore it

has beautiful scenery.

Programs

• Sports Day• Cultural Night• Education• Giving Water Filters • Building

What will be provided

• We will be drinking from distilled water• A Cook will be hired to cook specially

for our team• BBQ on the last night• We will be living in the school’s newly

build library.• Brand new toilet upgraded in

December

• This will be further discussed within the team

Pre & Post Ocsp

• Compulsory Due to YEP fundings.• We will be going to a children related

beneficiaries.

Finance

• Cost is 700 ( +/- 100 )• Before YEP funding

• This is a rough Estimate, cost will increase / decrease depending on sponsorship and fund raising.• We will try to minimize cost .

Expectations

• Responsible in doing your work• 2 Weekend might be used for fund

raising / Pre OCSP • One Meeting a week ( Friday 3.30 –

6.00 pm )
