Product information

In the name of GodWelcome to MHDsoft SMS server v.5. This

software known as SMSIA ( SMS Internet Access ) which enables you to run the network/Internet based SMS server.

Also this software enables you to program your idea about SMS and messaging by any web languages.


Product information

This software can send and receive SMS and number of them won’t take effect on it. It means you can run your SMS server by this software without any anxiety about system halting etc.

Since this software does content network features you can also run a professional web site to attract users about sending SMS from the Internet.

This software does content the new database connectivity structure.

This structure enables any programmer to connect their programs to this software about sending and receiving the SMS.

Also this software has the ability of auto-answer mode. By this ability you can define some codes which actives auto-answer when a person sends a SMS which does content that code.

In this software package we offered you a web template for Internet based SMS web site with the complete control panel and accounting system.

Also we offered you a web based control panel for this software which has the Excel import menu with artificial intelligence text filler.


Hardware information

This software based on GSM MODEM technology and follows the A3TL GSM structure.

We suggest you to use the UbiNetics™ GC201 or GC202 GSM MODEM. Also you can use any other GSM devices which supports standard international GSM AT COMMANDS.


Hardware information

The speed of sending and receiving SMS is directly depend on the ability of GSM MODEM. But, the signal power of Mobility Network can interfere in this process.

The MHDsoft SMS server needs 3% of CPU sources at least and 20% of CPU sources at more.


Software installation

Minimal requirements: P II 64 MB Ram 20 MB Free disk space Microsoft Windows 98SE Connected GSM MODEM



Please insert the software CD into Drive:



As soon as you put the CD into the Drive the auto run software should run, otherwise please open the CD folder from MyComputer icon on the Microsoft Windows Desktop and run the SETUP.EXE file.



After running the setup you will see this screen:



This screen does content the installation path which the default is C:\SMSIA\ .

You can change this path. After installation process you can find the software in

START > PROGRAMS > SMSIA > MHDsoft SMSIA



Please click on MHDsoft SMSIA, it will show you the Request Code ( RC ) like this one:

And tell them this code, to get the activation code.

After getting the activation code you should enter the code in the request box.



If your code will accept by SMSIA, you can use the software and see the software menu:



Please indicate the GSM MODEM port and then click on start to start the software process.

If you will check

This software will run automatically next time windows start.



To send direct SMS please click on

You will see a windows which enables you to type your SMS text and indicate the phone number.



By buffer setup you can control the fail tries and cell buffer. Cell buffer means checking the incoming SMS buffer. The normal number is 5 but, the best and non-time consuming number is 100.

The fail tries is the number of resending each SMS if sending process fails.


Database connectivity

Please go on MyComputer icon on Microsoft Windows Desktop.

Open driver C and then open SMSIA. In this folder you can find the folders of :

1. ToSend

2. Answer

3. Temp



ToSend:

In this folder there are same txt files. Each txt file has the structure of Telnumber,Text

For example, you can make a text file which does content : +989122171803, This is for test.

It means, you want to send “ This is for test “ to +989122171803.



In this folder you can find the file named Total.inf and Last.inf. Total keeps the number of all TXT files in this folder ( SMS queue ) and last keeps the number of last TXT file which read by software and prepared to send via GSM Network as SMS.

Thus if you make a TXT file to send SMS you should name it as the content of TOTAL.INF plus 1. It means if total.inf does content the number of 2 you should name your file as 3.txt and change the content of total.inf to 3



TEMP:This folder keeps the received SMSs. This folder also has

a file named as TOTAL.inf which keeps the number of TXT files in this folder. Each TXT file keeps the information like this :

"01-01-1999","17:27:08","989122171803",”Hi ","07/02/20,18:11:24-40",145

Date, Time, Telephone number, Sent date, Sent time, SMS center ID



ANSWER:

This folder keeps the information of auto-answer mode. The total.inf keeps the number of information. If we select a number like 1, the file named as 1.q keeps the key of auto-answer. For example if 1.q does content “Test” the 1.Ans should keep a text like “Thanks”. It means if a user sends the word of TEST to your sms server telephone number, this SMS server will send the word of THANKS to him/her.


The WEB Control Panel

To use the web control panel you should use a software like IIS ( Microsoft Internet Information Service ). But, we suggest you to use the free version of Baby web server if you are using Microsoft Windows 98SE.

Both IIS and Baby Web Server has the same functions of settings, please select the home directory to C:\SMSIA\



Then please open your web browser software ( Like Microsoft IE ) and address it to http://127.0.0.1/index.asp



Inbox:

This control shows you all of the received SMS. You can save them as an Excel file or Delete one by one.



SENT:

This control shows you the sent SMS. If the sending process was failed, you can find it like:



SEND DIRECT SMS:

In this control you can define a text to send. But, please mention that the size of the text should be at more 160 characters and if it will be more than 160 characters system will divide it to two parts, as a text message.



OUT BOX:

List of SMSs in sending queue. You can not delete them or stop them, but, if you will set the total.inf in Tosend folder to the number of 0 it will stop sending them.



Import Excel

Please save your Excel file as CSV format in C:\SMSIA\CSV\

This part of the control panel has the auto fill system. For example you can indicate some columns in the text by the symbol of #.



For example if you have an Excel table like:

You can indicate the first column by #1 and the second one by #2 and … .



Then give the system a text like :

This is a test sms for #2 from #3 at #4

System will read the rest of Excel file and fill the text by these signs and send the SMS. The telephone number of reception should be indicated in the first column.

System will send some thing like this:

This is a test SMS for Mr.Dalvand from Kanon at 12



Auto Answer:

In this model you have to just define the text and answer :

It means if a user sends the defined text by SMS system will automatically reply the defined answer to him/her.



In auto answer you have also the control of viewing all the received SMS by the code if Text and delete a code.

It means you can delete the auto answer for a certain text and also you can view the list of all received SMSs which contains the defined text of each auto answer field.


FAQ

How can I connect my Central Telephony system to SMS server:

You can active telephony LOG in your system and indicate the directory of C:\SMS\ for it to save the logs there.

System will automatically copy all the not-importanted file name – text files into ToSend folder for sending

All of my sending process saved as Fail:

Please check the telephone number of receptions

In some mobility networks you need to use a certain format for telephone numbers.

Also please check the signal quality, by the GSM MODEM software.


FAQ

Even if I have saved so many SMSs to send the OUTBOX doesn’t list them. Why ?

Please open ToSend directory and check the content of Last.Inf and Total.Inf. These file shouldn’t be empty anyway.

If they are empty, thus set the number of 0 in both of them and re save your SMS list.
