Thesameindividualcanfillboththeaccountmanagerandengineerroles.Oncethecandidateshavepassedtheexams,pleaseallow10businessdaysfortheresultstoappearinthePSStoolandtheCertificationandSpecializationApplication(CSApp)tool.BothexamsmustbepassedbeforetheSMBSpecializationapplicationcanbeprocessed.SeeStep4:ApplyforSMBSpecializationtolearnhowtocompletetheCertificationandSpecializationApplication.HerearetwotipstoensurethatpassedexamsmovequicklyfromthetestingcenterintoCisco’sdatabases:

i. EnsurethatallpeopletakingexamsareassociatedwithyourcompanyinPSS.

ii. EachindividualneedstosigntheCiscoCareerCertificationandConfidentialityAgreementinorderfortheexamtoshowascompleted.Thisagreementcanbesignedonline.

Onceanexamhasbeenpassed,itcantakeupto10businessdaysbeforeitregistersinPSS(http://tools.cisco.com/WWChannels/GETLOG/login.do)ortheCSApptool(http://tools.cisco.com/WWChannels/cpapp/selectGeo.do).

Ifthepartnerhasvalidatedthattheindividualisassociatedwiththecompanyandthecertificationagreementhasbeensigned,butindividualswhohavepassedtestsarestillnotshowinginthesystem,openacasewiththePartnerRelationshipTeam(PRT)onlineatwww.cisco.com/go/prt.

1. VisitSMBUniversityathttp://ww.cisco.com/go/smbuniversitytoreviewlearningmapsfortheCiscoSMBSpecializationrole.

2. Planwhichpeoplewillfilltherequiredroles(accountmanagerandengineer)andcreateatrainingplanforthosepeopletoensurethattheymeetanyprerequisitesandknowwhichcoursesandexamsmustbetaken.

3. PreparefortherequiredexamsbytakingtherecommendedSMBSpecializationtrainingcourses,availableine-learningformat.Instructor-ledtrainingisalsoavailableinsomeareas.

4. Onceanydesiredtrainingiscomplete,registerfortheonlineexams,administeredgloballybyPearsonVueathttp://www.pearsonvue.com/cisco/online/.

Youcanaccesstheexamsatwww.testrac.com/pvuecisco.

Thiswebsiteincludeseasy-to-followinformationonhowtoregisterandscheduleexams.IfthetesttakeralreadyhasaCisco.comuserID,heorsheshouldhaveitavailable.IftheindividualdoesnothaveaCisco.comID,onewillbesentuponcompletionofhisorherfirstexam.ATesTracIDisalsorequiredandwillbeissuedthefirsttimethepersonregistersforanexam.ThesameTesTracIDisusedforallexamstakenbythatindividual.IfthetesttakerhasnottestedwithCiscobefore,heorshewillneedtocreateanaccountontheTesTracsitewheretheIDwillbeissued.

TheCiscoSMBSpecializationrequirestworoles:oneaccountmanager(AM)andoneengineer(EN).

ThetworequiredSMBSpecializationexamsare:

ii. Allocatethejobrolestotheindividualswhomeettherequirements,thenpressthe“Next”button.

iii. ReviewtheSummarypageandpressthe“Next”button.

iv. ConfirmthecandidateswhowillholdtherequiredjobrolesontheSummarypage.

v. AccepttheICPAandtermsandconditions.

vi. Ifyouareready,submityourSMBSpecializationapplication.

3. YoucanopentheapplicationfortheSMBSpecializa-tionwithoutcompletingit.Itwillhaveastatusof“Inprogress”withintheCSApptoolfor90dayswhileyoucontinuetomakeprogresstowardfillingtheroles.

4. Allcompanyadministratorswillreceiveanemailfromcsapp-program@cisco.comnotifyingthemthatanewapplicationhasbeensubmittedfortheCiscoSMBSpecialization.Within24hours,youshouldreceiveanotificationthatyourcompanyhasachievedtheSMBSpecialization.Thisemailwillalsobefromcsapp-program@cisco.com.Fromthispoint,theCSApptoolwillreflectyourSMBSpecializationbyshowingthestatusas“Approved.”Thespecializationisvalidforoneyear,andsotheanniversarydatewillbeoneyearfromthedateitwasapproved.

5. ToreceivetheCiscoSelectCertification,youmustnowcompleteandsubmittheSelectCertificationapplicationintheCSApptool,asdescribedinStep5.

1. UsetheCSApptoolathttp://tools.cisco.com/WW-Channels/cpapp/selectGeo.do.TheSpecializationPlannertaballowsyoutomonitortheprogressoftheindividualsscheduledtofilltherequiredroles.

i. Selectthetheaterandthecountry,addthenameofyourcompany,andpress“Search.”

ii. Selecttheradiobuttonforyourcompanyandpress“Select.”

iii. SelecttheSpecializationPlannertab,theSMBSpecialization,andall(orthedesired)roles.Thisshowsyoutherequirementsforeachroleandanyindividualswhoalreadymeettheserequirements.

iv. Ifyou’dliketoseethestatusoftheindividualsinyourcompany,youcanselectthe“Contactsclosetomeetingrequirements”hyperlink.Thistabshowsallcompanycontactsandwhatrequirementseachisstillmissing.

2. Oncebothspecializationroles(accountmanagerandengineer)aremetbyindividualsandtheirinformationisavailable,usetheSpecializationApplicationtabwithintheCSApptool(http://tools.cisco.com/WWChannels/cpapp/selectGeo.do)tosubmityourapplication(Figure2).

i. Selectthetheaterandcountry,addthenameofyourcompany,andpress“Search.”

ii. Selecttheradiobuttonforyourcompanyandpress“Select.”

iii. ChoosetheSelectCertificationandpressthe“Next”button.

iv. Checktheappropriateboxestovalidateyoursupportcapabilities(nocustomersatisfaction[CSAT]responseswillberequired)andpressthe“Next”button.

v. ReviewtheSummarypageandpressthe“Next”button.

vi. Reviewthetermsandconditionsandpressthe“Next”button.

vii. Confirmthatallrequirementsaremetandsubmittheapplication(Figure3).

YoucanopentheapplicationfortheSelectCertificationwithoutcompletingit.Itwilldisplayastatusof“Inprogress”withintheCSApptoolfor90dayswhileyoucontinuetomakeprogresstowardfillingtheroles.

Allcompanyadministratorswillreceiveanemailfromcsapp-program@cisco.comnotifyingthemthatanewapplicationhasbeensubmittedfortheCiscoSelectCertification.

Within24hours,youshouldreceiveanotificationthatyourcompanyhasachievedtheSelectCertification.Thisemailwillalsobefromcsapp-program@cisco.com.Fromthispoint,theCSApptoolwillreflectyourSelectCertificationbyshowingthestatusas“Approved.”Thecertificationisvalidforoneyear,sotheanniversarydatewillbeoneyearfromthedateitwasapproved.

Once Your Select Certification is Approved

OnceyourCiscoSelectCertificationisapproved,youwillreceiveacongratulatoryemailaskingyoutoconfirmyourmailingaddresstoreceiveacomplimentaryCiscoSelectCertifiedPartnercertificate.Pleaseallowtwotothreeweeksforcertificatedelivery.

Theemailalsocontainsalinktoanonlinewelcomekitthatwillincludelinkstologos,pressreleasetemplates,collateral,PartnerEnablementinformation,PartnerCentralURLs,andalinktoMarketplace,whereyoucanorderadditionalcertificatesorplaquesforafee.
