WHAT ARE SMARTPHONE'S?

• Smartphone's are advanced mobile phones that offer more in the sense of computing abilities and connectivity than a contemporary or standard phone.

• Smartphone's run complete operating system software's thus, they can combine the functions of a camera phone and a Personal digital assistant (PDA).

• A Smartphone allows its users the ability to install and operate advanced applications whereas contemporary or standard phones are only able to run minor applications such as Java.

• Smartphone's have simplified the way of life by making it less complex and user friendly.

• Smartphone handsets keep you organized as they can function as personal organizers, with contact lists, electronic diaries and automatic reminders.

• More and more services are available on smart phones, from access to maps and directions to television transmissions with news coverage or weather reports to traffic information and scheduling alerts. With such information at your fingertips you can always stay one step ahead in life.

• However with smart phones you become more and more vulnerable to fraudulent activities such as theft through cell phone banking and etc. Despite that researches have been conducted so as to avoid this in the near future…..

RESEARCHES:

• Researchers believe that Biometrics is the solution. Biometrics involves the installing of fingerprint scanning and etc so as to make the phone more secure to the user.

• Also researchers were able to develop and use the accelerometer built into a smart phone to analyze gait. Their work suggests that, with further refinement, one of the ways your phone could know it's in the right hands would be simply by passively analyzing your walking style.

SMARTPHONE'S AND EDUCATION

• Students can have permanent access to some virtual textbooks as teachers believe it's less expensive to read freeware books or courses on the internet than to pay for buying or copying them. This is highly achievable with the help of the internet feature that the Smartphone provides.

• The organizational features of a Smartphone are crucial to both students and teachers. Timetables can be stored as well as reminders set, even notes or books can be installed on the phone thus enabling them to cut costs as well carry heavy material!

• Due to the enhancement in technology nowadays its rare for people to actually work in an office environment they would rather work from home or elsewhere using their smartphones.

• In addition one can conduct business wherever as they are able to send or receive important info through e-mail on their Smartphone.

CONCLUSION

• I’ve discovered that most Smartphone users spend most of their time using their smartphones for communicational purposes.

• Smartphone's have considerably enhanced communication by making it much easier as result production has greatly increased.

• As a result of advancing technology, Smartphone usage trends have been predicted to increase greatly with the increase in the selling of Smartphone.

• It can therefore be safely concluded that smartphones are greatly affecting productivity, social engagement, work places and education all in a positive way
