Good Start for NHFood Bank Challenge Donations are rolling in to the NHEC & Northway Bank Food Bank Challenge, but we’ve got a long way to go!

New Hampshire Governor Maggie Hassan helped us kick off the Food Bank Challenge at a ceremony last month in Concord. Since then, we’ve had a good start to fundraising, but we need your help to top our shared goal of $150,000.

Please help the New Hampshire Food Bank stock their empty shelves. Even a small donation goes a long way – donations are being matched dollar for dollar up to $80,000 by the NHEC Foundation and Northway Bank.

NH Governor Maggie Hassan (center) helped kick off the NHEC & Northway Bank Food Bank Challenge on September 5 in Concord. Joining Governor Hassan were, from left, NH Food Bank Executive Director Mel Gosselin, NHEC Foundation Executive Director Audrey Goudie, Northway Bank SVP Dawn Champiny and NHEC Foundation Board Vice Chair Jerry Hopkins.

ATTENTION ELECTRICIANS!Don’t pull that meter until you’ve notified us...

Electricians: you must contact New Hampshire Electric Co-op BEFORE breaking the seal to remove any electric meter that is served by NHEC.

This is especially important as NHEC transitions to an automated outage reporting system. The new digital electric meters installed by NHEC during the past two years will automatically report an outage when the meter loses power. If we don’t know you’re moving a meter, we may assume there is an outage or that the meter is being tampered with at that location and dispatch a crew to make repairs. That may result in the member being billed a charge. According to NHEC’s Terms & Conditions, only licensed electricians and trained NHEC employees are allowed to remove an electric meter from its socket.

Before removing an NHEC electric meter, please call 1-800-698-2007 to reach our Member Solutions Department during regular business hours, or our Control Center, which is staffed 24/7/365.
