Changing Your Background
A white background can be very hard on your student’s eyes. It is very
easy to change the color of the background.
First Click on Format on the tool bar.
Next click on Background
Next click on the color you wish your
Background to be.

Draw a Line
To draw a line you first go to the toolbar.
Click on the type of line you wish to make.
Then drag you mouse or
marker across the screen.
Then click on the arrow.
Click on the property tab.
Click on Line Type
Now you can choose the thickness,
color and style of the line.
You can also make the line
Transparent by going to Fill Effects.
Use the slide bar to choose how
transparent you want the line to be.

Get A Timer from Gallery And Use It
You can put a timer up on you Smart Board.
First go to the Gallery.
In the search box type in
Timer.
Then click on the magnifier.
Click on the Interactive
and Multimedia bar.
Double click on the Timer.
Set the timer by clicking on the
arrows.
Green time goes up.
Red time goes down

Split Screen
You can use the Split Screen to show two of your screens at the same
time. I used it to teach Graphing.
To show both screens Click on the Split Screen on the tool bar.
If you want to use the first page with a third page you can pin your first
page in place.

Pinning A Page
First Click on View
Nest Click on Zoom
Finally Click on Pin Page
Pins appear at the top of
The pinned page.
Now no matter what
page you go to the
Pinned page always
showing on the left side.

Random Generator
To create a Random
Generator for your
class list.
First click on the Gallery.
Click on Lesson
Activity Toolkit 2.0
Click on Tools
Click on the Interactive and Multimedia.
Scroll down to Random word chooser.
Click and drag Random word chooser to screen.

Choose the number of students
in your class.
Type in your students names.
Check the box for No repeat.
To have it choose a student
Click Select
I save it after each use. In that
way the list stays random.

Vortex Sort
Click on Gallery tab
In the search box
type Vortex Sort.
Click on a Vortex and
drag it to screen.
Click on Edit
Type in Vortex
categories
Type in up to 16 labels
Assign each label to
the correct category
Click on Rotate vortex
box
Click OK 20
To Play game students drag label to the correct Vortex.
If correct the vortex takes it in.
If incorrect vortex throws it out.
To start game over click Reset

Vortex Image Sort
Click on Gallery tab
In the search box
type Vortex.
Click on a Vortex and
drag it to screen.
Click on Edit
Type in Vortex
categories
Type in up to 16 labels
Assign each label to
the correct category

type Word Guess
Click on a Word Guess and
drag it to screen.
Click on Edit
Choose type of Word Guess
form drop down menu
Type in words
Type in clues
Click on OK
Play game with students

Click on Gallery tab
In the search box
type Word Guess
Click on a Word Guess and
drag it to screen.
Click on drop down for
Number of Questions
Type in your Questions and
Answers
Choose if you want to use
the timer. If you choose to
use the timer you can choose
the speed of the timer.
Click OK
Play game
