MorphicSensor Evaluation System with medium-range handheld reader

The RFM5117 is a wireless reader system for battery-free Smart Passive SensingTM devices. Antennas, cables, and a digital display are provided to complete the system. Primary reader communication is via RS-485 using the MODBUS protocol. The reader is compatible with common SCADA safety and security monitoring software. Installation software is provided to simplify reader setup, and sensor registration. The installation software runs on a PC and communicates with the reader via a USB connection.

The RFM5107 Switchgear Temperature Monitor allows maintenance teams to track the status of low-voltage and medium voltage switch-gear. The system alerts maintenance teams to temperature rises in switchgear components and busbars, which indicate deterioration and potentially dangerous arcing situations.

RfmApi™Axzon provides the RfmApi™ programming library for the fixed reader sys-tem RFM5108 and RFM5109 to simplify the most common programming activities and interactions between sensors and the RF reader. Software de-velopers can keep their attention on the application level code, instead of being forced to deal with all the technical details of readers and sensors.

ReaderService™The system enables sensor monitoring in various IoT (Internet of Things) ap-plications. The RFM5144 ReaderService™ is included with the RFM5109 and runs either on the reader itself for full edge processing, or on a PC/server in a distributed processing configuration. The system includes several sample programs that employ the built-in REST interface to access the sensor data from the integrated Database. These example programs are a starting point for custom made software solutions.
