STEP 1 Plan your Big Pink fundraiserFirst, decide what you’d like to do. Next up, think about where you’d like to hold it – at home, work, a community venue, or maybe at a school. Think about when you might do it (it doesn’t have to be on 16 October!).

Next, consider who you might invite, then start spreading the word! There are posters in this kit, and for more materials to help you get the word out visit www.breastcancercare.org.uk/thebigpink

Three small steps to a successful BIG PINK

Thank you so much for signing up. Whatever you’re planning for your Big Pink this October, you’ll be helping families across the UK facing breast cancer today.

STEP 2 On the Big Pink dayRelax and enjoy! It’s all about letting loose and having fun while raising money for a good cause. Use the balloons and stickers in your kit to pink up your day, and don’t forget to set a fundraising target with your totaliser poster – it’s more fun having something to aim for!

Don’t be shy about asking for donations. Pop your collection box somewhere everyone can see it and watch the pennies and pounds come rolling in.

STEP 3 Now make a big differenceYour Big Pink will help more people find a way to live with, through and beyond breast cancer. Paying in the money you raise couldn’t be easier, and there’s a paying-in method to suit everyone.

Pay in onlineThis is the most cost-effective way for us to receive your donation. Just head to www.breastcancercare.org.uk/thebigpink and click the big pink ‘pay in’ button.

By chequeSimply complete the money return form on the back of the letter in this kit and follow the instructions.

At the bankIf you’d prefer to pay cash, take the paying-in slip at the bottom of your letter to your local HSBC branch.

If you have any questions or need help paying in, call the Big Pink team on 0300 100 4442.

So, what is The Big Pink? It’s the biggest, pinkest fundraiser Breast Cancer Awareness Month has ever seen!

The Big Pink is one day in October where people across the country get together with friends, family, colleagues or neighbours to raise money for Breast Cancer Care.

It’s flexible, heaps of fun – and can be as fuss-free as you like.

You can put on a Big Pink at home, work, or anywhere else you fancy. And you can choose how you’d like to fundraise, so it works for you. It could be anything from a bake sale to a brunch, a dress down day to a night in with pals, a sponsored challenge to a street party. And whether you raise £20 or £200, you’ll be making a real difference to people waking up to the harsh reality of breast cancer.

Whatever you do for your Big Pink, there are lots of handy materials and tips in this kit to get you started. And if you’re still left scratching your head, just get in touch with the Big Pink team or visit our website:
