_ _ _ _ ______ - 129 - Small and Medium-sized enterprises between competition and Blue Ocean strategy A case study of Algeria biscuit industry Kim & Mauborgne Abstract : This study aimed to analyze the strategy choices for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and determine the necessity of adopting a blue ocean strategy (BOS), wich based on reconstruct new value curves in biscuit industry, which are becoming an important part of the daily diet for the Algerians, in This study we tried to list the different strategic approaches from the traditional competitive logic under the structuralist, to restructuring approach on strategic intent logic, to achieve the objective of study we adopted the Kim & Mauborgne model of strategy choice between red and blue , and we used the descriptive method to analyze industry structure by utilising secondary and primary data sources (a questionnaire), the study concluded that SMEs should adopting the BOS across a restructuring approach, due to the low industry attractiveness to reshape the boundaries of the industry.
