Slovakia is a landlocked country;It presents mountainous areas on the north and flat terrainin the south. Italy is a penisula and the 40% of the italian territory is montainous.

There's a large plain in the Valley of the Po.

Both countries are part of the European Union.

Slovakia has a tipically continental climate.There are relatively warm summers and cold, cloudly and humid winters. The warmest region is Bratislava.

Italy has a mediterranean climate with hot and dry summers and cold and wet winters.There's a concrete climate's difference between north andsouth because of the longitudinal shape of the penisula.

Both Slovakia and Italy have their national football teams;Marek Hamsik is a Slovak football player and serves as captain forthe italian championship (Serie A), S.S.C. Napoli and the SlovakiaNational Team.
