“Whomsoever that Allah wishes for him goodness, He will

make him a FAQIH (learned) in matters of the

religion(Deen); and for everything there is a pillar, and the

pillar of this religion is AL-FIQH – (the profound

understanding of the Deen); a learned scholar (of the Deen)

is more difficult upon satan than a thousand worshippers.”

““SHUMULSHUMUL” (or all-encompassing nature of ” (or all-encompassing nature of AD-DEEN AL-ISLAMAD-DEEN AL-ISLAM), ),

And if it is not “And if it is not “SHUMULSHUMUL ”, then another Prophet would be needed, ”, then another Prophet would be needed,

and this in fact is a denial of the perfection of and this in fact is a denial of the perfection of AD-DEEN-AL-ISLAMAD-DEEN-AL-ISLAM – – itit

tantamount to ‘unbelief’ (tantamount to ‘unbelief’ (KUFRKUFR).).


To say that Muslim’s understanding of Islam is “To say that Muslim’s understanding of Islam is “evolvingevolving” towards a ” towards a

much better Islam, is not only inaccurate but downright erroneous much better Islam, is not only inaccurate but downright erroneous

DEENDEEN. Thus the emergence of Islamic scholars who strived to preserve . Thus the emergence of Islamic scholars who strived to preserve

the purity of this religion through the endeavour termed as “the purity of this religion through the endeavour termed as “TAJDEEDTAJDEED” ”

(renewal). And this does nor imply “(renewal). And this does nor imply “replacementreplacement” of its principle ” of its principle

teachings.teachings.

These academicians would not admit that their methodology – which is These academicians would not admit that their methodology – which is

from a humanist sociological study and perspective - is in fact imposing from a humanist sociological study and perspective - is in fact imposing

a false parallel, advocating that contemporary Muslims should imitate a false parallel, advocating that contemporary Muslims should imitate

the ‘Judeo-Christian’ historical experience. the ‘Judeo-Christian’ historical experience.

“Now then, for that (reason), call (them to the Faith), and

stand steadfast as thou art commanded nor follow thou

their vain desires; but say: "I believe in the Book which

Allah has sent down; and I am commanded to judge justly

between you. Allah is Our Lord and your Lord. For us (is

the responsibility for) Our deeds, and for you for your

deeds. There is no contention between us and you. Allah

will bring us together, and to Him is (Our) final goal.”

(Qur’an: ash-Shura: 42: 15)

ASH-HADU – AN- LAA-ILAA-HA IL-LALLAAHASH-HADU – AN- LAA-ILAA-HA IL-LALLAAH

I bear witness, that there is no god except AllahI bear witness, that there is no god except Allah


WA-ASH-HADU – AN-NA- MUHAM-MADAR –WA-ASH-HADU – AN-NA- MUHAM-MADAR –ROSUU-LULLAAHROSUU-LULLAAH

No one should be forced to embrace Islam. No one should be forced to embrace Islam.

A person is expected to is expected to enter into it willingly, with full certainty

of the basic truth that there is no god except Allah and that

Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.

Those who are born into a Muslim family needs to be nurtured

with the correct understanding of Islam to attain certainty .


Thus, the declaration marks a person’s commitment towards

adhering to all that Islam teaches.

It is in fact a covenant between him and Allah – to be witnessed

at least by other Muslims because he will be accorded every

rights and respect as fellow Muslims; as much as other Muslims

have rights over him.

truth and patient constancy; making truth and patient constancy; making du’adu’a for one another; for one another;

forgiven and erased whereas record of their good deeds forgiven and erased whereas record of their good deeds

laa-ilaa-ha il-lallaah

(there is no god except Allah)”

Our Prophet s.a.w. advises:

[c] To deny that Allah has absolute power over all things, and that

can occur only by Allah’s permission.

[d] Ascribing to Allah attributes that contradict His Exalted Majesty

e.g. holding to anthropomorphic beliefs.

and neither do you worship that which I worship! And I will not worship and neither do you worship that which I worship! And I will not worship

that which you have [ever] worshipped, and neither will you [ever] that which you have [ever] worshipped, and neither will you [ever]

worship that which I worship. Unto you, your religion, and unto me, worship that which I worship. Unto you, your religion, and unto me,

mine!’“mine!’“

““For, never will the Jews be pleased with thee, nor yet the Christians, For, never will the Jews be pleased with thee, nor yet the Christians,

unless thou follow their own creeds. unless thou follow their own creeds.

Say: "Behold, Allah's guidance is the only true guidance." Say: "Behold, Allah's guidance is the only true guidance."

And, indeed, if thou should follow their errant views after all the And, indeed, if thou should follow their errant views after all the

knowledge that has come unto thee, thou wouldst have none to protect knowledge that has come unto thee, thou wouldst have none to protect

“(May) Allah grant His Reward upon Muhammad,
