Slides for Andrew Oko’s AHIS120 Midterm Exam This is the (incredibly unofficial) slide/artwork guide for Andrew Oko’s AHIS120 Winter 2010 midterm exam, and only contains the pieces discussed in class for each of the starred/need to know artists. All images were taken from Google Images, so if you need a better look they’re fairly easy to find. Not all images will match exactly what were shown in class, particularly the architecture. This is a starting point for studying for the exam - while you’ll need to be able to identify any given work along with artist and period, you’ll also need to refer to your own notes to study the style, background, characteristics, etc. The exam breaks down as follows: /20 - Summarize one of the two reprotext articles discussed in class. /14 - Identify title, artist, and period, analyze form and content within the context of the work’s period. /8 - Identify , artist and period, justify the selection of period. /6 - Identify artist and period, discuss the significance of the content within the context of the work’s period. /14 - Identify , artist and period, discuss work considering the form, content, and context. /8 - Compare two works using the Wolfflin Principles. I put this together in a bit of a rush so that I could get it out soon, so I apologize if there are any errors. If something doesn’t seem right, be sure look it up and double-check. Good luck with the exam, everyone. -Chris. title title, title ITALIAN HIGH RENAISSANCE The Annunciation by Leonardo Da Vinci 1472-75 (Italian High Renaissance) Adoration of the Magi by Leonardo Da Vinci 1481-82 (Italian High Renaissance) Madonna of the Rocks by Leonardo Da Vinci 1483-85 (Italian High Renaissance) The Last Supper by Leonardo Da Vinci 1495-98 (Italian High Renaissance) Madonna & Child with St. Anne by Leonardo Da Vinci 1508-13 (Italian High Renaissance) Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci 1503-06 (Italian High Renaissance)
