    TUFFCLAMP SKIRT SYSTEM

    TuffClamp skirting is manufactured and supplied in 1m (40) lengths that can be retro fitted directly to existing or as part

    of a new steel skirt plate. The design of this system ensures flexibility when installing.

    The position of the mounting brackets are able to be adjusted to accommodate any obstructions. The acme thread on the

    mounting assembly ensures simple access for the adjustment or replacement of the rubber or polyurethane skirt. The

    clamp bar within our system is positively retained eliminating any risk of the clamp bar coming into contact with the belt.

    The system is able to accommodate skirt material from 10mm (3/8) through to 19mm (3/4) thick and is available in both

    standard and low profile design.

    All components are manufactured from 304 grade stainless steel.

    TUFFLOCK SKIRT SYSTEM

    TuffLock skirting is manufactured and supplied in 1.2m (48) lengths that can be retro fitted directly to existing or as part of a new steel skirt plate.

    The mounting plate is retained by a toggle, ensuring nothing more than a hammer is required to adjust or replace rubber or polyurethane skirt. The system is able to retain skirt material from 12mm (1/2) through to 19mm (3/4) and is available in both high and low profile design.

    All components are manufactured from 304 grade stainless steel.

  • RIGID POLY SKIRT SYSTEM

    Rigid Polyurethane skirting is manufactured and supplied in 1340mm (53) lengths that can be retro fitted directly to existing or as part of a new steel skirt plate.

    The body of the skirt system is manufactured from 85 shore A durometer polyurethane, ensuring excellent wear performance. The system is mounted to the chute via three small stand off brackets. These brackets are used for finite adjustment of the Rigid poly skirt material to ensure performance is optimised.

    Standoff brackets and adjusting bolts are manufactured from 304 grade stainless steel. Adjusting nuts are manufactured from brass to eliminate

    thread binding.

    RUBBER SKIRT

    Our range of traditional rubber skirt is available in various widths and thicknesses to meet all requirements. It is supplied in 30m (33yd) rolls to minimise waste and ensure that it can be safely handled. Rubber skirt is a low cost option, available in either Natural or FRAS grades and provides an effective sealing solution for your conveyor.

    POLYURETHANE SKIRT

    Our range of 65 shore A durometer polyurethane skirt is available in various widths and thicknesses to suit most applications. Polyurethane skirt is cut into standard roll lengths of 30m (33yd) to ensure that it can be safely handled. Investing in high quality Polyurethane skirt delivers superior performance in wear and longevity, reducing maintenance cost over time.

    DUAL SEAL POLYURETHANE AND RUBBER SKIRT

    This skirt offers a dual sealing solution for your conveyor. The main body of the skirt is manufactured from rubber, which offers the primary sealing surface. The rubber body is adjusted against the belt as with traditional rubber skirt. A flexible rubber strip with a polyurethane wear rail at its end, is moulded to the side of the main body and contacts the belt. This is the secondary sealing surface. By utilising the low cost rubber in the body and high performance polyurethane in the second sealing surface only, cost is minimised and performance is maximised.

  • WHY

    In mining operations, materials handling constitutes a major component of production costs. Conveyors play a central role in the operations processing, storage and transportation of materials. It is essential that they operate efficiently with maximum availability and with a minimum of down-time.

    When operating a conveyor system, product losses due to spillage around a transfer point will occur if not correctly retained. This spillage will impact on equipment life and increase site hazards and operational costs.

    By understanding the product being conveyed, we are able to design solutions that will deliver significant improvements to your conveyor performance.

    WHERE

    It is best practice to install a skirt system complete with a removable wear liner, structural mounting plate and a sealing element on every transfer point along the conveyor. The skirt system needs to be designed to ensure that its length is adequate to retain and settle the product while it is in transition from one conveyor to another.

    HOW

    An effective skirt system comprises of a steel skirt plate, wear liner and a dust sealing mechanism. The steel skirt plate is designed to mount the wear liner and sealing mechanism. The wear liner is designed to control and direct active product through transition until it settles in the trough of the outgoing conveyor belt. The sealing mechanisms only function is to retain dust within the transfer point.
