While we continue to address the society’s main goals from 2016, we strive to seek a new domain for VE/VM; “Fubeneki” (further benefit of the kind a of inconvenience)
“R&D Group on Fubeneki and VE” was launched with members composed of academics and VE practitioners
Proposes “fubeneki function” as the third function in VE methodology, followed by “use function” and “aesthetic function”

FUTURE FORECAST OF VM IN JAPAN
Sectors with high potential of expanding VM are:
Service – Food-service, healthcare service, elderly care service, etc.
