Timeline for Logistic Committee Round 1
Time before R1
1. Open for registration> 2 months
2. Printing of OMR form if required.1 2 months
3. Closing date for registration1 month
4. Contact potential support host for those with >100
participants and to confirm number of places available.3 - 4

5. Assign participants to R1 venue. Assign index numbers to
participants and inform teachers and students. (Suggestion for
2015: Print labels or cards with participants full name and index
number to be brought during R1.)3 weeks
6. Inform Scientific Committee of all R1 venues. Confirmation of
invigilators from school and scientific committee.2 weeks
7. Distribution of Invigilator instructions to all host and
invigilators. Preparation of name tags for Scientific Committee
members.2 weeks
8. Payment dateline. To follow-up on payment.2 weeks
9. Checking and printing of Round 1 papers.1 week
10. Purchasing of food and drinks for invigilators.1-5 days
11. Packing of R1 papers, instructions and lanyards. Printing
and pasting of seating arrangement and direction signs at R1
venues, arrangement of tables and chairs by host.1 - 2 days
12. Round 1 hosting. Organising committee will bring in the
questions for R1 and collect them at the end.0
13. Announce result of R1 on the web.Within 2 weeks after
R1.
Timeline for Logistic Committee Round 2
Time before R2
1. Confirmation of R2 venue, teacher and lab tech in-charge. All
involve in the preparation of chemicals to sign NDA. Obtain school
map from host schools for web.Before publish of R1 results
2. To check that all schools sending > minimum participant
(pre 2014 = 10; post 2014 tbc **suggest 20) should have at least 1
team in the final. Inform all schools with >1 team to group
their teams.[endnoteRef:1] [1: Any students who are unable to make
it for R2 because of other commitments or medical condition may be
replaced by anyone who attended R1. Note that only participants who
meet the minimum score for both R1 and R2 will be awarded
medals.]
After R1 results
3. Confirm with hosting schools the number of participants
attending R2 at their school, as well as participants allocated to
their labs.6- 8 weeks
4. Invitation to participating schools to contribute
invigilators for R2. Recruit markers.6- 8 weeks
5. To finalise name list of all participants, group index
number, invigilators and instructions to invigilators and markers.3
4 weeks
6. Printing of R2 papers.1 week
7. Ordering of breakfast or lunch for lab techs, invigilators,
committee members, markers and all helping on the day.1-2 days
8. Packing of R2 papers, instructions, name list and lanyards.
