Juniors – U13 Grade Semi Finalists SJ U13’s were drawn up against an unbeaten Shoalwater side and when we were dismissed for a low total of only 65 to some it seemed game over. However a fantastic effort in the field saw Shoalwater challenged all the way as they just made a winning score. Semi Final

Participation The emphasis of junior cricket in WA is participation of all team members in the game. Mention must also be made of our other 3 junior sides U11’s, U12’s and U14’s. U11 The U11 team was a very young group with a number of 8 and 9 year olds in the side. Despite this, the team got on very well and thoroughly enjoyed their season, learning a lot from coach Craig Atwell along the way. U12 This side was very well supported by a group of parents and coach Steve Goodall. Five of the team represented the Peel Junior Cricket Association U12 teams at the Rockingham carnival and 3 have trialed for next seasons Rockingham-Mandurah District Cricket Club Under 13 side. U14 A special mention must be made of our U14 team who turned up and participated week in and week out without winning a game. Every member of this team is a credit to the club. I received many reports from other clubs during the season on the sportsmanship and dedication of the boys. With a bit of luck they could have had at least a few wins.
Serpentine-Jarrahdale Junior Cricket Club and Hillman Cricket Club U12 teams shake hands after the game. Sportsmanship is another part of the game that must always be encouraged.
