Urgent Medical Care

• Experiencing a rape or other form of sexual assault is a traumatic and terrifying experience.

• Victims of these crimes will be able to receive immediate medical care upon arriving at the clinic.

• Cooperation and participation with Cambodian police will both build police capacity and lead to more accurate evidence collection

• Investigators will follow through on reported crimes, collecting evidence both within the facility and in further investigations outside the center.

Investigation Services

• SISHA’s Memoranda of Understanding with Cambodian National Police will allow the Center to function as an integrated part of Cambodia’s criminal justice system.

High Quality Interview Facilities

• The Center will have comfortable, non-threatening interview rooms where victims feel comfortable reporting their experiences to police.

• The Center will be equipped with high quality audio and video equipment to record interviews and document evidence for prosecution.

Counseling and Aftercare Services

• The Center will offer quality counseling services for victims, which has been proven to reduce negative personal and societal impacts of trauma.

• Immediate aftercare and access to SISHA’s extensive referral service will ensure that victims receive the attention they need to recover from their traumatic experiences.

Legal Services

• The Center will provide victims with legal consultation to inform them of their legal options and of the resources available to them.

• For those who choose to pursue their cases, SISHA will provide them with legal counsel.

• The Center will also assign each victim a case officer for future contact regarding any further incidences or questions about any part of the process.
