Appreciated Modules

Observations: •Most appreciated module is M7 On-the-Job Learning, closely followed by module M2- Common induction learning (CIL), M3- Unit Specific Learning and M4- Project Site and Sister Unit Learning. •ROD is the only unit which has received the lowest rating for M7 module. The unit needs to find out the cause that has led to such a low rating.

Need Improvement

Observations: •Module M2B (9) – Information Technology has been voted as the module which is in need of improvement. •Eight units have suggested that this module needs improvement.

Page 18: SIP_BHEL

Part B: Analysis of Feedback Forms

Critical Observations •According to Trichy unit, the modules which need improvement are M6- Interdepartmental Exposure and M4- Project/Sister Unit Visit for which the ratings are 8.97 and 9.26, while one of the most appreciated module is M2A- Organizational Effectiveness with rating 8.63. The unit needs to find out why does it needs improvement for module M4 and not M2A. •Module M7- On-the-job Learning has been appreciated the most and only Bhopal and Haridwar are the two units which has received low rating for this module as compared to other units. These two units need to find out why they are lacking behind.

Recommendations

•For evaluation the written tests are conducted using paper-pen which takes up a significant cost every year. The costs include cost of paper, printing ink, courier (when questions are sent from HRDI) etc. To save this cost its necessary to conduct these tests online. A proposal has been sent as the present infrastructure does not support this change.

•Every year the analysis of feedback forms are done for the current year. The analysis should also contain a comparative study with the previous year so that the units can know of their performance whether it is better or worse than the previous year.

•This year Bhopal has performed badly as compared to previous year where it was among top three units. A survey needs to done to find out the reasons for this lacking performance
