Planning Ahead Architect Wanted!

As part of the grant process we need to plan well into the future. Our long range plans include adding bathrooms, re-hearsal space storage areas...and we need someone to help us figure out how to do that and reserve our historical footprint! Are you an architect and willing to help us? Know someone who might volun-teer to help us?

Are You Up To Date?

A special thanks to George Janek & Rick Van Tol for generously donating their winnings back to the Play-

HOUSE OF WONDERS 50/50 RAFFLE A 100%

SUCCESS!

As soon as the curtain rises no patrons will be seated except in the back rows until intermission. Folks arriving distract other patrons who came on time and the actors. So please, be courteous and if you arrive late and quietly take a seat in the back. Show time is 7:30pm at all evening per-formances and 2:00pm on Sundays.

Patrons will now be permitted to take your purchased concession items back with you to your seat. We don't want you trying to madly finish a drink or candy bar to catch the start of the second act. So you can buy concessions without worrying if you can finish it in time for the curtain.

Enjoy your Drink or that Candy Bar!

Walker J. Fischer and Cheryl Weber delighted the ladies of Hadassah with a recreation of the classic “Blanche Bets on a Horse” playing the Bickersons. The Bickersons was a radio comedy sketch series that began in 1946 on NBC. The show's married protagonists, portrayed by Don Ameche and Frances Langford, spent nearly all their time together in relentless verbal war. Walker and Cheryl had the ladies laughing in their tea cups. If you belong to an organization that would like to include a radio show/skit by the Read-ers Theatre please email Kathy at [email protected].

Play Dates • December 2012

The Daytona Playhouse is a proud member of our community and these theatre partners:

Country Girl took to our stage in November 1962 with the role of Bernie Dodd performed by Don Emory. Don was seen on our stage in Send Me No Flowers and Voice of the Tur-tle and using his artistic flair designing sets. Bob Niemyer gave a moving performance as the pathetic and anxious actor Frank Elgin. Bob has filled other roles with us as stage director and on the Board of Directors. Larry

was played by Paul Fox who lent his talents previously in Anni-versary Waltz. Phil Powers took on the role of Phil Cook having showed us earlier his ability as production and stage manager, as well as, his memorable performance in The Diary of Anne Frank. Harold Goldman as Paul Unger was enticed from behind the scenes once again to work along side his wife Muffie who por-trayed Georgie Elgin. The pair had put on their British accents in their last performance together in Pygmalion. Ranging from a villain to ingénue, Barbara Hall as Nancy Stoddard showcased her talents in this show as a seventeen year old. The struggles of an acting career were left behind as our talented cast made acting look easy in this heartrending performance.
