Simplyhealth Great Manchester Run 2019
Why it’s important“Marie has been so brave and strong since her diagnosis and I am so incredibly proud of her and the changes she’s had to make to her life. I would do absolutely anything for my sister, but the one thing I want to give her more than anything I can’t provide because diabetes is for life; which is why I’m more determined than ever to raise money & awareness.”
Helen, ran the Simplyhealth Great Manchester Run in 2018. Her sister has Type 1 diabetes.
Getting readyYour race pack including your race number and timing chip will be posted out in May approximately two weeks before race day. Please do have a good read through it. If you haven’t received your pack by the week of the event, please do email [email protected] where a member of the team will assist you.
Don’t forget to wear your Diabetes UK running top. If you didn’t request one and would like one then let us know. It means we can see you coming and will you on as you pass our cheer points. Iron your name on the front so the crowd can chant your name and try to stick your race number below our logo so everyone knows who you’re running for.
Social mediaIf you’re on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram, then get sharing. We’d love to see your pictures and posts about the day. And don’t forget to share your JustGiving link with all your followers. Whether it’s a half or whole marathon, it’s a huge achievement, so tell everyone about it to get those donations flooding in.
