INNOVATIVE DESIGN

Walker Bay’s Rigid Inflatable Dinghy (RID) combines the best features of a reliable hard-shell dinghy with the stability and

utility of an inflatable.

RIGID INFLATABLE DINGHY.

Because of the large rigid hull structure with external tubes, the RID has exceptional

cockpit space. Three comfortable seats provide secure internal seating for all passengers and greater cargo space.

EXCEPTIONAL COCKPIT SPACE.

The Variable Profile Design (VPD) tube is varied in both diameter and shape along the length of the boat to provide optimum performance and to act as a fender with a protective rub rail when alongside other boats or docking. Whether rowing, motoring or sailing, the VPD tubes provide added security to any water experience making the Walker Bay RID an ideal boat for all uses.

HOW IT WORKS.With a light load and moderate seas, the Variable Profile Design (VPD) tube does not engage and the bow cuts gracefully through the water. In heavier seas, with larger loads or as the load shifts, the VPD tube engages as required for lateral stability.

MAIN SHEET BLOCK

The blocks on all Walker Bay® Sail Kits are made from a composite construction making them extremely durable. Ratchet blocks shift smoothly from ratchet to free spinning modes.

RUDDER BLADE

The high performance rudder blade found in all sail kits combines a super durable composite glass-filled Nylon rudder head with a hydrodynamic lightweight aluminum foil. It also includes an easy to use universal articulating tiller extension which allows steering from various positions and is easily stowable.

DAGGER-BOARD

A hydrodynamic lightweight aluminum foil was created for our new dagger-boards.. Combining maximum stiffness, minimum weight, and maximum surface area it enables our boats to point better when beating to windward while still maintaining speed.

VANG CLEAT

The innovative Vang Cleat found in all Walker Bay® Sail Kits is simple, extremely durable and easy to use. Constructed of high-tech Polycarbonate material that fuses together several composites, it easily controls the shape of the sail with no moving parts.

Designed for fun on the water, the Breeze is easy for anyone to rig and sail and

features an easy-to-handle compact sailing rig and PVC stability tube. The high aspect

ratio sail design provides better light wind performance, while the higher angled boom

allows for more head room. The inflatable tube increases stability and safety and acts as a

splash guard making the boat dry while sailing. The Breeze is a fun and easy way to learn to sail

or just enjoy being on the water.

The 8 Breeze is a perfect boat for kids or anyone learning to sail. It’s easy to launch and the tube adds stability and safety while still allowing the boat to heel. A high boom and simple rigging plus a hull that can’t be damaged means this is a boat you never have to worry about.

The 10 Breeze is 50% larger inside than the 8 and comes with a jib sail. Three people can easily fit in the 10 plus it comes with a flat floor to keep things drier. Like all Walker Bay sailboats you can always detach the rudder/ de-rig the sails and use the boat with a small motor or set of oars.
