• Process at the Smoky Canyon Mine Site – Washing/Grinding for Sizing & P2O5 upgrading – Slurried for 87 mile underground pipeline to Don Plant

Further Recovery of Value from Ore Resource

• Smoky Canyon ore contains trace quantities of Uranium

• The uranium is acid soluble in the process and is in the phosphoric acid – Around 100 ppm U in Filter Grade Acid

Alternative Method

• Simplot is evaluating the Phos Energy method for Uranium Recovery – Technology developed by partner, Urtek – Ion Exchange based technology

• No flammable solvents to deal with • Selectively remove Uranium using IX resin
