Let’s start with the W’s…. What is it?

Solid modeler to visualize, create & debug FLUKA geometries interactively

When will it be available? V2 should be out within the next 2 weeks

What does it cost? It’s for free (for non-commercial purposes)

Why should I use it? Sorry, but I didn’t promise to have the answer to all

W’s! ☺

What does version 2.0 offer? Import & visualization of existing geometries

Old syntax, new syntax, ALIFE

Interactive inspection in 2D & 3D “Click & pick” identification of regions Volume calculation of regions Various display modes to create images

Debugging with visual feedback different algorithms with better convergence than grid debugging

Interactive creation & export of FLUKA geometries Old syntax, new syntax with names, new syntax with parentheses

Let’s try a live demonstration

…. hopefully without the almost mandatory“demonstration effect”

Plugin extensions

They can be used to act as 3rd-party import/export filter

(users can develop their own) data display and/or analysis …

Plugins are extensions that can be loaded

at runtime

DaViz3D

reads FLUKA cartesian USRBIN, XYZ ASCII and other formats

displays the binned data of up to 3 planes (XY,YZ,ZX) than can be interactively moved through the data set

data can be superimposed on top of geometry

the color tables are user configurable and interpolate if requested

data can be extracted as 2D matrix or as a profile function
