SimpleCMS is content management system focused on easy use. Main advantage in comparison with other CMS systems is simple approach for solving complex tasks, where on code side the clarity and security of the implementation is the main target.

Simple CMS allows editing administrator. SCMS allows:

Adding new menu item

To create new article firstly select

Adding document

Adding documents to articles or messages is very similar to adding images. You can refer to the document directly, if you know URL of the document.

To add the document this way mark the text, you would like us as a link to document. Then

click button on CKEditor toolbar. Link form will open.

Add URL to URL field and click OK button.

If the document is placed on server and you don’t know the URL, or your are going to upload the document, there are two possibilities.

First possibility is marking the text, which is supposed to be link to document. Then clicking

button and Browse server button in dialog shown above. File manager will open.

If the document already exists on the server, In left part of File manager find the document name and click on it. If the image doesn’t exist on the server, click Browse button (or equivalent of “Browse” in your language) in File manager. Set the path to the image file and click Upload.

Then click Select button.

Now the URL to document will be placed to URL field of link form. Click OK button in link form.

Other possibility is using button on CKEditor toolbar. Then use File manager to find the document on the server. The title of the document will be now used as link to document.

Adding Embed media

Embedding enables accessing some kind of objects from different websites.

In websites created by SimpleCMS you can for example display videos hosted on Youtube or presentations hosted on Slideshare.

To add embed object, you need embed code of the object. Way how to get the embed code from different tools may be slightly different for each of them

For example, on Slideshare you can get embed code of any publicly available presentation by clicking Embed link. After this, embed code appears.

Copy the code.

Press on CKeditor toolbar. In source code od article or message select the proper place for the embed code. If you are adding the object to end of message or article,(or to the place, which is end at the moment, when you are adding the code, paste the embed code to the end of the source code.

Then you can again click and continue editing the message or article in way, you are used to.

Adding Attachment to Article

On the bottom of article select button

Publishing of information into Social Networks System support automatically publishing of articles on Facebook using Posterous. You can switch off
