ConceptSIM - Museum Interactive System

Art and Landscape in a Contemporany ViewDiscover, Learn & Enjoy

The system offers support to the utilization of mobile devices in theexploration of a physical space like Serralves (museum and surroundings),and art exhibitions, allowing the creation of narratives by the users.

The system is composed by a game of exploration of the gardens in thesurroundings of the Serralves museum. Its a treasure-hunt that involves agroup of boxes, and each box has inside an artifact relative to art work in theexhibition in the museum. The player, after finding all the boxes and collectingall the items in the boxes, tries to find in the museum the corresponding artwork. In this way, there is a relation between the space inside the museumand its surroundings, that is already present in the museum since itsconstruction, now applied to the human interaction with mobile devices.

In the museum, the users can access information about each art workusing the mobile devices (iPhone and PSP). Also in the space of the museum,one adult user can interact with another user, having the mobile devicesand the system as a communication medium. In this interaction, one usercan access a database of pre-defined challenges, choose one and send itto the other user, with the intention of suggesting new explorationsof the art works in the museum.

One visit to the museum never ends when the user leaves the physicalspace of the museum. The person takes with him the experience of the artworks that he had contact with. Each art work will be part of the person, asa starting point to discover other art works. So the user has an opportunity,after logging in , of adding the art works that he like to his history, classifyeach one, and make comments. In the end the user can compare his experiencewith other users that had contact with the exhibition.

ConceitoSIM - Sistema Interactivo do Museu

Arte e Paisagem numa Viso ContemporneaDescobrir, Aprender e Divertir

Pretende-se criao de um sistema que apoia a utilizaode diferentes dispositivos mveis na descoberta do espaode Serralves (museu e seu exterior), e das exposies,permitindo a criao pelo utilizador da sua prpria narrativa.

O sistema inclui um jogo de explorao do espao dosjardins de Serralves. Uma caa ao tesouro de caixa em caixa,em cada caixa tem um artefacto relacionado com as obrasno museu. O jogador, depois de recolher todos os artefactos,procura no espao do museu a obra relaciona com cada artefacto.

Uma visita nunca acaba no espao fsico do museu,a pessoa leva consigo a experincia das obras que viu.E cada obra estabelece-se como parte integrante do eu,a partir do qual vai ver outras obras.

Assim, o utilizador tem a oportunidade, depoisde autenticar, de adicionar obras ao seu histrico,

e classificar cada uma delas ao seu gosto. o seu histrico, a sua classificao, a sua experincia.

Cada utilizador pode comparar depois a suaexperincia com a dos seus amigos, ver comocada um classificou as obras que viu.
