Where did the summer go? I just want to thank you all for your confidence in my role as your president. I'll do my best to fulfill the responsibilities that go along with the position but it will be hard to fill Janet's shoes! I have already received a lot of support and have gotten my toes a little wet with leading the August Executive Board/Committees meeting. I'm excited about this guild year and look forward to the meeting on the 19th. Please feel free to come to me with any comments, questions or concerns you might have. BTW...I love chocolate. And, most importantly, we need lots of hands to help; Committee Chairs, Co-Chairs and happy helpers. We will be making a big push at the September meeting to get all of the Committee Chairs and Co-Chairs in place. We’ve made it so easy for you with a point by point check-list of things that need attending to and deadline dates. Thank you to all who have already stepped up to help. Please consider volunteering for a committee. Working to have the Show dates confirmed by the September meeting. Looking forward to seeing you at the September meeting. The quilt show will be held at the West Elementary School at 70 Plympton Road in Plymouth, Massachusetts. > > There will be over 175 quilts displayed, vendors, a boutique, a �white elephant�, guild quilt raffle, as well as basket raffles and a door prize. Update: Emergency FundThe Museum has received 185 donations totaling $21,000 to off-set
the cost of replacing our broken air handler. A new energy efficient unitmust be custom-made at a cost of $88,000. With major gifts from threeanonymous donors and the Theodore Edson Parker Foundation, we
hope to restore climate control to the Museum by mid-October. We aregrateful to the members, quilt guilds and supporters, who havecontributed to the Emergency Fund this summer. Thank you!
