Dampier Gold (“Dampier” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce further results received

from its reconnaissance RAB / aircore program targeting 16 priority prospects (Figure 1).

A total of 39 RAB holes were recently completed at the Apex prospect (Figure 1). Assay

results have now been received for the first 29 holes which successfully outlined an

extensive copper anomaly (+300 ppm) extending over a length of some 2.5 kilometres

(Figure 2). Wide intervals of elevated copper mineralisation (>1,000ppm or >0.1%) were

Of particular significance is the continuity of the anomaly over an extensive area and its

coincidence with a prominent aeromagnetic feature (Figure 3) and gravity high within a

broad area of more subdued signature. Representative cross sections through the anomaly

are presented in Figures 4 and 5 (refer to Figure 2 for locations).

The geology of this area is currently not well understood due to the lack of previous

exploration with most of the recent holes terminating in weathered bedrock. From the limited

available information, the basement rocks appear to be of mafic to ultramafic affinity. Minor

fine-grained sulphide mineralisation (presumed pyrite) was noted at or close to the base of a

few of the holes.

Follow-up logging, detailed analysis of the multi-element assay data and a review of the

existing geophysical data over the area will be carried out as a priority in advance of further

geophysical surveys and drilling.

The Company is highly enthused about the potential of Apex in light of the recent copper

discoveries at the nearby Enigma prospect (Sipa Resources) and DeGrussa project

(Sandfire Resources, Figure 1).

A total of 27 RAB / aircore holes were completed at the Colossus prospect located some 1.5

kilometres to the southwest the K2 deposit (Figures 1 and 6). Assay results received for

these holes have extended an existing 0.25g/t Au anomaly to 250m in strike. Significant

intersections include 4m at 2.71g/t Au and 4m at 1.82g/t Au (Table 2). The results have

confirmed the continuity of the mineralised host structure which is interpreted to be similar in

style to the K2 deposit.

About Dampier Gold

Dampier Gold has acquired 100% of the ~700km2 Plutonic Dome Project from Barrick Gold,

covering the majority of the Plutonic - Marymia Greenstone Belt, excluding Barrick’s

underground mining and processing operation. Dampier’s project area produced some

580,000oz Au from 40 open pits in a generally low gold price environment between 1990

and 2005. The project currently contains a Mineral Resource of approximately 553,000oz

Au (comprising a Measured Resource of some 0.5 Mt at 2.1g/t Au, an Indicated Resource of

some 1.8 Mt at 4.8 g/t Au and an Inferred Resource of some 1.8Mt at 4.1g/t Au). The

Company is actively evaluating its priority resource targets with a view to future gold

production. Framework terms are in place for a proposed ore purchase agreement to

access Barrick’s Plutonic processing facility. If agreed, this will help fast-track Dampier to

producer status with modest capital outlay.
