Use the Wacom Signature software development toolkit (SDK) for Android to add electronic signatures to your mobile apps. With a Wacom digital pen and compatible mobile device or tablet you can capture full biometric signature information and securely embed signatures in documents such as PDF. To recreate the natural writing experience of pen on paper the SDK uses Wacom Ink Layer Language (WILL) technology. WILL technology provides high quality rendering of digital pen ink to generate a superior graphical display. Signatures from the Android SDK are fully compatible with the family of Wacom Signature products. Whether they are captured using the Signature SDK on Windows, iOS or Android the signatures can be treated in the same way in Wacom applications: • SignatureScope provides forensic experts with tools to analyse signature data • Dynamic Signature Verification (DSV) performs automated signature comparison and verification. Signatures captured on Android can be verified with signatures captured on any of the Signature SDK platforms: Windows, iOS and Android The Signature SDK has been designed to make it simple to add signatures to your application. Your application needs only a few lines of code to capture and store a signature because the SDK does all the work to process pen data and display the user interface. SDK Features The SDK provides a library of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) including: Capture Signature: • Parameters for capture details (who/why) • Parameters for document security (hash) • Display signature capture window with control buttons • Display pen strokes using WILL technology • Create Wacom signature data Save signature data as: • Image format (e.g. PNG) • Image format with embedded biometric data (e.g. PNG) • Proprietary Wacom binary format (FSS) • Text format Signature SDK for Android Factsheet
