Students (parents) enter course requests and alternative course requests.
Be sure to select an English, Math, Science and Social Studies course to meet graduation requirements.
Guidance counselors review all requests.
Go to CASD websiteClick on the Home
Access Link
Enter login information
Students have their own Home Access login.
(This is the only login that must be used to enter requests)
Username: FirstName.LastNamePassword: Student ID
Click on the “Classes” icon
Click on the “Requests” tab
Choose a department and click the “Edit” button
Check the box for the desired course
Don’t forget to save!
Alternate Request Instructions: If your first choice elective course does not fit in your
schedule, alternates will be used. If you do not enter alternates, any course that fits your schedule will be selected.
Choose two 1.0 credit alternates and two 0.5 credit alternates.
Selecting Alternates – choose a department and click edit:
Check the request box for the desired course
Select “Alternate to Any Course” from the drop-down menu
Make sure to save your selection
General Notes Many courses have a symbol. This indicates that
the course has a prerequisite – HOWEVER, that course may still be selected ! Please refer to the Course Selection Guide for course descriptions and prerequisite information.
Make sure that the total credits are 7.0

If my student took Spanish in middle school, which high school class should he or she take?
Begin with level I and the middle school teacher will make a final recommendation at the end of the year based on testing.
Can students take classes at the 11/12 building?
At this time, transition will be limited to facilities required for the course (i.e. – Band)
