Sight Word

Thank you for downloading the Multi-sensory Sight Word Practice

Pages – Freebie set. I hope that your students enjoy them as much

as mine do. My ultimate goal when creating these pages was to

create a hands-on, multi-sensory word work station that my

students could complete independently. When I introduced the sight

word pages, I did the first two whole group. We completed the

pages step by step with me modeling on my interactive white board.

Then I set them loose by putting one new page per week in my word

work center. It has worked beautifully and I know they are

reviewing the sight word we learned the previous week. This is how I

have my students complete the page:

1 Point to the word

2 Trace the word with your finger

3 Trace the word with your pencil

Write the word with your pencil

5 Rainbow write the

word by writing the word with different

colored crayons inside the bubble letters. I

teach my students that this is not rainbow coloring and model

what I want.

6 Read the words in the box and circle the sight

word. The number in the

top, right corner tells them how

many circles they should have.

7 Build the Word by cutting out the letters on the bottom and gluing them into the squares. The circles inside the squares are for dots of glue and we always remind ourselves that “just a dot

does a lot!”
