SIGGRAPH 2013 Workshop: Augmenting Performative Art with Emerging Technology

Maziar Ghaderi is a Masters in Design student at OCADU in Toronto, Canada, and he was invited to present his thesis research for SIGGRAPH 2013 in Anaheim, CA. Maziar is interested in integrating motion capture, projection mapping, biometric sensors and other emerging technologies into performative art to provide a more engagement experience for the audience and to offer a expressive tool for artists and directors for real-time content creation and exploration. Maziar intends to break the fourth wall between artists and multimedia production by reducing dependency on linear multimedia and strict performative choreography.
