We Believe:

• The Bible, composed of both the Tanakh and New Covenant, is the only harmonious, infallible and authoritative Word of God.

• hwhy (YHWH, YAHWEH—God the Father) is “echad” (plural form of one) as declared in the Sh’ma (Dt. 6:4). Yeshua, the Son, is the "arm" of YAHWEH (Exodus 6:6, Isaiah 53:1) whose qnoma (nature) was fully divine even though His body was human, sent to Earth to teach men about YAHWEH, how to worship Him, how to live according to YAHWEH's To-rah, and then to martyr Himself as our Final SIN Sacrifice. He is not a demi-God or part of a "trinity" or any other entity separate and distinct from the one God of Israel. Yeshua did not come to replace His Father or His Father's Torah (Matthew 5:17-20).

• Spiritual deliverance and salvation is available to those who place their trust in Yeshua's atoning death and His divine interpretation of Torah.

• The regenerating work of the Spirit of YAHWEH is essential to salvation. This is not a separate Spirit distinct from God, it is the Spirit of God - the same Spirit as described in Genesis 1. We believe in the present ministry of the Spirit and in the exercise of all of the Biblical gifts of the Spirit.

• No one is justified through keeping “the Law of Moses.” Rather, the Torah was given as a guide for Godly living. Without Torah, man would have NO blueprint for moral, holy living! Since YAHWEH is immutable, the spiritual principles embodied in Torah are binding upon believers today.

• Because there is a spiritual unity between all believers in Yeshua everyone must adhere to Torah. We are all one in Messiah (Ephesians 2:15). YAH-WEH did not hand down separate rules for His natural and adopted chil-dren, as revealed in Numbers 15:13-16.

• Jeremiah 31:32 tells us that YAHWEH made His "new covenant" not with the Gentiles or Christians or Muslims or any religious “denomination” or anyone else except the Houses of Israel and Judah. He did, however, ex-tend His grace and mercy to the Gentiles who, once they become believers in Yeshua, automatically become part of "Israel"! And God told Israel: "I give you good instruction: Do not forsake my Torah" (Proverbs 4:2). And Paul reiterated this when he said: Do we then nullify the Law through faith? May it never be! On the contrary, we establish the Law. (Romans 3:31)

• God has a special, everlasting covenant relationship with the Jewish peo-ple, which includes unique spiritual and physical blessings. In the end times, all Israel will turn to God and accept Yeshua as the Messiah prom-ised in the Torah. Then will the Law go forth from Zion and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

THE LIGHTS OF SHABBAT

Come, let us welcome Shabbat, the queen of days. Light reminds us of YAHWEH:

“YAHWEH is my Light and my Salvation.” (Psalm 27:1)

Light reminds us of YAHWEH’s covenant with us: “For the mitzvah is a lamp...and the Torah is a light.”

(Psalm 119:105) Light reminds us of Israel’s calling:

“I have made you a covenant people, a light to the nations.” (Isaiah 42:6)

Light reminds us of the world to come: “In that day they will need no light, for YAHWEH will give them light.”

(Revelation 22:5) Light reminds us of the Messiah:

“He said, ‘I am the Light of the world.’” (John 8:12)

BLESSING FOR THE MOTHER/WIFE

An excellent wife, who can find one? For her worth is far above jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil all the days of her life. She looks for wool and flax, and works with her hands in delight. She is like merchant ships; she brings her food from afar. She rises also while it is still night, and gives food to her household and portions to her maidens. She considers a field and buys it; from her earnings she plants a vineyard. She girds herself with strength, and makes her arms strong. She senses that her gain is good; her lamp does not go out at night. She stretches out her hands to the distaff,

Page 9: Siddur for Netzarim - Nazarene Media - Home

9

and her hands grasp the spindle. She extends her hands to the poor; and she stretches out her hand to the needy. She is not afraid of the snow for her household, for all her household are clothed with scarlet. She makes coverings for herself; her clothing is fine linen and purple. Her husband is known in the gates, when he sits among the elders of the land. She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies belts to the tradesmen. Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she smiles at the future. She opens her mouth in wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and bless her; her husband also; and he praises her saying, “Many daughters have done nobly, but you excel them all!” Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. (Proverbs 31:10-31)

BLESSING FOR THE HUSBAND/FATHER

Halleluyah! Happy is the man who fears YAHWEH, who de-lights greatly in His commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon the earth, the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Wealth and riches shall be in his house, and his righteousness shall endure forever. Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; he is gracious, full of compas-sion, and just. A man is good who lends with grace, he con-ducts his affairs justly. Surely he shall never be moved; the righteous will be eternally remembered. He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. His heart is established, he shall not be afraid when he gazes upon his enemies. He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever, his horn shall be exalted with honor. (Psalm 112:1-9)

SHACHARIT SERVICE (Morning Service)

Ma Tovu

How goodly are your tents, O Jacob, your dwelling places, O Israel. YAHWEH, through Your abundant kindness I will enter Your house; in awe of You I will bow down toward Your holy sanctuary. YAHWEH, I love the house where You dwell, and the place where Your Glory resides. I shall prostrate myself and bow, I shall kneel before the Lord my Maker. As for me, may my prayer to You, YAHWEH, be at the right time; O God, in Your abundant kindness answer me with the truth of Your salvation. (Numbers 24:5)

HAH MOTZI Blessing over the bread

Yochanan 6:31 - 35 Our fathers ate manna in the desert ... as it says in the Tanakh, "He gave them bread from heaven to eat." Yeshua said to them, "Yes, indeed! I tell you, it wasn't Moshe who gave you the bread from heaven. But My Father is giving you the Genuine Bread from heaven, for YAHWEH's bread is the One Who comes down out of heaven and gives life to the world." They said to Him, "Sir, give us this bread from now on." Yeshua answered, "I am the bread which is life! Whoever comes to Me will never go hungry, and who-ever trusts in Me will never be thirsty."

PSALM 92

A Psalm. A song for the Sabbath day. It is good to praise YAHWEH and make music to Your Name, O Most High; to proclaim Your love in the morning and Your faithfulness at night to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp. For You make me glad by Your deeds, YAHWEH. I sing for joy at the works of Your hands. How great are Your works, and profound Your thoughts, YAHWEH. The senseless man does not know, fools do not understand, that though the wicked spring up like grass and evildoers flourish, they will be forever destroyed. But You, YAHWEH, are exalted forever. For surely Your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered. You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured upon me. My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes. The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon planted in the house of the Lord. They will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, saying, “the Lord is upright.” He is my Rock, no wickedness is in Him.

and the Word of YAHWEH out of Jerusalem. (Numbers 10:35, Isaiah 2:3)

Be careful that your heart is not deceived, and you turn away and serve other gods, and worship them, and the anger of the Lord be ignited against you, and He shut up the sky that there be no rain, and the land yield no fruit, and you perish speedily off the good land which the Lord gives you. Therefore, you shall lay up these words in your heart and in your life; and you shall bind them as a sign upon your hand and they shall be as reminders between your eyes. And you shall instruct your children in them, talking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up. And you shall write them upon the door posts of your house and upon your gates that your days and the days of your children may be multiplied in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give them as long as the heavens are above the earth.

Numbers 15:37-41

Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them to make tzitzit in the borders of their garments throughout their genera-tions, and to put upon the tzitziyot of the borders a thread of blue. And it shall be a tzitzit for you to look upon and remember all the commandments of YAHWEH, and do them; and that you follow not after your own eyes, with which you used to go astray. That you may remember and do all My commandments, and be holy to your God. I am YAHWEH your God Who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God. I am YAHWEH your God.

HAVDALAH SERVICE (End of Shabbat)

Behold, YAHWEH is my salvation; I will trust and will not be afraid, for the Lord my God is my strength and my song, He also has become my salvation. Therefore, with joy will we draw water out of the wells of salvation. And in that day you will say, “Halleluyah! Call upon His name. Declare His deeds among the peoples, and proclaim that His Name is ex-alted! Salvation belongs to YAHWEH; Your blessings will be upon Your people. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our Refuge. In the past the Jews had light and joy, gladness and honor. So be it with us. I will lift up the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of YAHWEH.

(Based on the Messiah’s prayer and the first century simple form of the Kad-dish, sung to the High Holiday melody by either the cantor, choir, or congrega-tion; especially appropriate in content for those who mourn.)

May Your kingdom come upon earth, as Your will is done in Heaven; Grant unto us Your daily bread;

and forgive us all our sins; For You are full of mercy,

in all times the same. He who died and rose again,

assurance gives that even death shall not end our fellowship;

eternal life He gives. For in the name Yeshua;

SELECTED READINGS AND PRAYERS

HA ELOHIM ASHER

(Hebrews 1:1-3)

In the past YAHWEH spoke to our fathers through the prophets, at many times in various ways; but now, in the end of days, He has spoken to us by the Messiah, His Son, Whom He appointed the Heir of all things, and through Whom He made the uni-verse. The Son is the full radiance of God's glory, the flawless manifestation of His reality. He sustains all things by His powerful word. After He made atonement for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. The help of our fathers are You from ages past. A Shield and a Savior to their children after them in all generations. Happy is the man who heeds Your commandments, Your To-rah, and who places Your word upon his heart. It is true that You are the Lord of Your people and the mighty King to plead their case. It is true, You are the First and the Last, and besides You we have no King, Redeemer and Savior. From Egypt You redeemed us, YAHWEH our God, and from the house of slavery You delivered us. All their first born You slayed, and Your first born You redeemed. At the Red Sea You divided and drowned the proud, but the beloved ones You caused to pass through while the waters covered their adversaries. You are High and Wonderful, Great and Awe-some, Who brings low the proud and raises the humble, Who brings forth the prisoners and delivers the meek and helps the poor and answers His people in the time when they cry to Him. Praise our exalted God! Blessed is He Who is to be blessed! Moses and the people of Israel sang a song to You with great joy. "Who is like You, YAHWEH among the gods; who is like You, glorious in holiness, awesome in praises, do-ing wonders."

KEDUSHAH (Isaiah 6:3; Psalm 146:10)

Leader We sanctify Your name in the world, as it is sanctified in the highest heavens, as it is written by Your prophet, "They call to each other and say: Congregation ‘Holy, holy, holy is YAHWEH tz’vah-ot, the Lord of Hosts; the entire earth is full of His splendor.’ (L) Those facing them say, “Blessed!” (C) “Blessed is the glory of YAHWEH from His abiding place!” (L) And in the Holy Writing it is said, (C) "YAHWEH shall reign forever; your God, O Zion, for all generations." (L) In every generation we will tell of Your greatness, and inevery age we will proclaim Your holiness. Your praise will certainly never depart from our lips. For You are our great and holy God and King. Blessed are You, YAHWEH, the holy God! (ALL) From Your heavenly dwelling You will appear, O our King, and reign over us. When will You reign in Zion? Soon, even in our days. May You dwell there forever and ever. May You be exalted and sanctified within Jerusalem, Your city, from generation to generation and for all eternity. May our eyes see Your kingdom‘s fullness, may we see Your righteous Anointed One.

THE MESSIAH YESHUA

Blessed are You, YAHWEH, Who has given us the way of salvation in Messiah Yeshua. He walked among us filled with Your Spirit, the only One Who ever fulfilled Your Torah. He healed the sick and raised the dead. The multitudes of our people sought His touch. He taught as no man taught. With authority He brought forth the treasures of the Torah. How the children sought Him! He touched the lepers and made them clean! How the despised and outcast found love and release from their sin! How the hypocrites feared Him Whose words uncovered their sin! Despised and rejected, acquainted with grief, He bore the sins of Israel and the world. All we like sheep have gone astray, turned every one to his own way. Our iniquities were laid upon the King, the sins of the world, His burden to bear. He rose from the dead and opened the way to life everlasting. Praise His Name! We are in Him, His Spirit empowers us; new life is ours with joy and peace. Blessed are You, YAHWEH our God, Who has given us Messiah Yeshua our King!

ALENU It is incumbent upon us to praise the Master of all, to exalt the Creator of the world, for He has made us distinct from the nations and unique among the families of the earth. Our destiny is not like theirs, our calling is our task. We bow down and acknowledge before the King of Kings that there is none like Him. For He stretched forth the heavens like a tent and established the earth. Truly there is none like our Lord and King. As the Torah says, “You shall know this day and reflect in your heart that it is YAHWEH Who is God in the heavens above and on the earth beneath, there is none else.” We hope, YAHWEH our God, to soon behold Your majestic glory when all abominations shall be at an end. Then shall the world be perfected under the rule of the Lord Almighty and all mankind shall call upon Your Name. For to You every knee must bow and every tongue declare that You are God. Reign over us soon and forever. May the kingdom of David's greater Son be established forever. For then shall the words be fulfilled, “Yeshua shall be King forever,” and “Yeshua shall be King over all the earth”; on that day YAHWEH shall be one, and His Name one."

ADON OLAM (Messianic)

YAHWEH alone, YAHWEH is one,

Creator of all, eternal God. You spoke the Word and the world became,

All things exist, by Your command.

You, from the earth, created man, Breathed into his flesh the breath of life. You gave him dominion o’er the earth,

The image of God alone is he.

He fell in sin, the image marred, A race full of pain and suffering.

But in the fullness of the age, Messiah came and broke the curse.

He died for sin and rose again,

That we might in Him God’s purpose fill. Redeemer of the race of man,

Restorer of Yisrael.

So in Your Spirit, we at peace, Lie down in sleep and rise again. Assurance of Your loving care,

Through days of life, beyond our death.

A Sabbath Morning Prayer and Declaration

With abounding love You have loved us, YAHWEH, our God; and great overflowing tenderness You have shown us. O our Father, our King, remembering our fathers who trusted in You, and whom You did teach the statutes of life, be gracious to us and teach us. O our Father, merciful Father, always compassionate, have mercy on us. Put it within our hearts to understand and to discern, to mark and to learn, to teach and to heed, to do and to fulfill in love all the words of Your instructions. Enlighten our eyes in Your Scripture, let our hearts cleave to Your commandments, and unify our hearts to love and revere Your Name that we may never be put to shame. Because we have trusted in Your holy, great and revered Name, we shall rejoice and be glad in Your saving power. O bring us in peace from the four corners of the earth, and make us go upright to our land, for You are our God who works salvation. You have chosen us from all peoples and tongues, and have brought us near unto Your great Name forever in faithfulness, that we might in love give thanks to You and proclaim Your uniqueness. Blessed are You YAHWEH, Who has chosen Your people Israel in love.

A Sabbath Morning Prayer and Declaration

Blessed are You, YAHWEH our God, Ruler of the universe, Who forms light and creates darkness, Who makes peace and creates all things. Who in mercy gives light to the earth and to those that dwell there, and in Your goodness renews the creation every day forever. Many are Your works, YAHWEH! In wisdom You have made them all; the earth is full of Your creations. O King, Who alone was exalted from early times, Praised, glorified and extolled from days of old. O everlasting God, in Your abundant mercies have mercy on upon us, Lord of our strength, Rock of our stronghold, Shield of our salvation, Stronghold of ours. The blessed God, great in knowledge, designed and formed the rays of the sun; it was a source of glory to His Name; He placed the sun, moon and stars by His strength. The chiefs of His hosts are holy beings that exalt the Almighty, and continually declare the glory of God and His holiness. Be blessed, YAHWEH our God, for the excellence of Your handiwork in all creation.

A Sabbath Morning Prayer and Declaration

Come let us welcome Shabbat, and sing praise to God, and pray for the eternal Shabbat, the End of the Days, the Ever-lasting Kingdom. Every living thing shall bless Your name, YAHWEH our God, and all flesh shall ever acclaim and exalt Your fame. From everlasting to everlasting You are God; and beside You we have no King, Who redeems and saves, liberates and delivers, Who supports and comforts in all times of trouble and dis-tress; yes, we have no King but You. You are God of the first and of the last ages, God of all crea-tures, Lord of all generations, adored in countless praises, guiding Your world with faithful love, and Your creatures with tender mercies. YAHWEH neither slumbers nor sleeps; He wakes the sleepers and rouses the slumberers; He makes the lame walk, liberates the prisoners, supports the falling, and raises up those who are bowed down. To You alone we give thanks. If our mouths were full of songs as the sea, and our tongues full of praise as its many waves, and our lips full of thanks as the wide expanse of the skies; if our eyes were shining with light like the sun and the moon, and our hands were spread forth like the wings of ea-gles, and our feet were swift as the wild deer; we should still be unable to thank You and to praise Your Name, YAHWEH our God and God of our fathers, for one thousandth or one ten thousandth part of the good things which You have be-stowed on our fathers and on us.

ABRIDGED AMIDAH

Grant us, YAHWEH, the knowledge of Your ways;

Direct our hearts to Your worship;

Forgive us so that we may be redeemed;

Keep us from suffering,

Satisfy us with the produce of the earth,

and gather our dispersed from the four corners of the earth;

and those who stray from Your knowledge - judge;

and upon the wicked make Your hand heavy;

and may the righteous rejoice at the building of Your house, the construction of Your Temple,

the flourishing of the throne of David Your servant,

and the lengthening of the light of Your Messiah,

the son of Jesse.

Before we call, answer us.

Blessed are You, YAHWEH, Who hears prayer.

THE TRUTH OF SHABBAT

The people of Isra'el are to keep the Shabbat, to observe Shabbat through all their generations as a perpetual cove-nant. It is a sign between me and the people of Isra'el for-ever; for in six days YAHWEH made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day he stopped working and rested. (Exodus 31:16-17) …..the sons of the stranger that join themselves to the YAH-WEH , to serve Him and to love the Name, to be His ser-vants, everyone that keeps the Shabbat from polluting it, and takes hold of My covenant; even them will I bring to My Holy mountain... (Isaiah 56:6-7a) Shabbat, from the word ‘to rest,' was given to Jew and non-Jew for Oneg, joy, or delight. Isaiah said, “You shall call Shabbat a delight.” (Isaiah 58:13) Oneg implies celebration, sharing time with loved ones, leisurely meals with hospitality and relaxation. The Shabbat is to be Kodesh or Holy. “Remember the day, Shabbat, to set it apart for YAHWEH. You have six days to labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Shabbat for YAHWEH." (Exodus 20:8-9) Shabbat is to be a time of spiritual and physical rest and re-freshment. This implies more than just refraining from work. On Shabbat we are to turn away from worldly activities and focus more on spiritual pursuits. If the week is characterized by competition, rush, and turmoil, their absence will contrib-ute to serenity, and to the rejuvenation of body and spirit. It is this unique quality which moved Jewish tradition to call Shab-bat “a foretaste of the days of the Messiah.”

YESHUA, LORD OF THE SABBATH (Responsively)

As Yeshua is the Lord of the Sabbath, we are reminded that the Sabbath was made for man. It is the memorial of creation, for in six days YAHWEH made the heavens and the earth, and in the seventh day He rested. It is a memorial of our freedom from Egypt as well. The Exodus was the great miracle of God for Israel’s deliver-ance from Egypt and declares that Israel is to be a free people. The Sabbath is a day of liberty from all bondage, a day for healing. Yeshua invites us, “Come unto me all you that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me … for My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” We are encouraged to not fail to respond in faith and to be excluded from entering into the rest of God provided through faith in Yeshua. We look forward to the age of rest to come when Yeshua shall rule over all the earth. Let us praise and worship Him in joy and thanksgiving.

Page 52: Siddur for Netzarim - Nazarene Media - Home

HEALING ON THE SABBATH DAY

Yeshua is the Lord of the Sabbath. Even so we come on the Sabbath to be renewed in Him and to bring a sacrifice of worship and praise that will be acceptable to YAHWEH. As the Sabbath is a day of proclaiming liberation, so Ye-shua invites us to come and be healed. He as well, by teaching and example, made the Sabbath a day upon which to give ourselves to heal the sick and restore others in every aspect of their lives. Yeshua healed the man born blind, the cripple by the pool, and the man in the Synagogue with the withered hand. Even so, we come to worship and to minister in His power.

FAITH CONFESSION (Suggest standing, or “amidah”, as a posture of confident faith)

1. Blessed are You, YAHWEH God, of our fathers,

God of Abraham, God of Isaac, and God of Jacob, the God and Father of our Lord Yeshua the Mes-siah, faithful to your covenants of love and good-ness culminating in the New Covenant. You are the Lord of the whole world.

2. In love, You have brought the Redeemer to Your

children for the sake of Your name. Yeshua was the only one who fully lived out the meaning of the Torah. He then died for our sins and rose from the dead. He then ascended into heaven. Through Him, our sins have been forgiven. We are over-comers through His power and have victory over evil. Neither sin, nor sickness, nor poverty brings us into bondage, for the resurrection life of His Spirit makes us more than conquerors. By His stripes we have been healed, as the Psalmist says,

Page 53: Siddur for Netzarim - Nazarene Media - Home

53

“You forgive all our sins and heal all our diseases.” We are now new creatures in the Messiah. We are the righteousness of God in the Messiah and can overcome all the schemes of the evil one. We are being changed from one degree of glory into an-other. We shall be like Him for we shall see Him as He is. Blessed are You, YAHWEH, who has brought Yeshua, Messiah and Redeemer, and will send Him again for the deliverance of Israel and the salvation of the world.

3. You, YAHWEH, sustain the living with steadfast

love, You provide good things for all Your crea-tures and are faithful to Your people who sleep in the dust. You will raise them from the dead when Yeshua returns at the sound of the shofar. King Redeemer, Savior, and Shield, blessed are You, YAHWEH, who sustains the living and raises the dead.

4. You have given us Your holy Sabbath as a testi-

mony of Your covenant with Israel, as a memorial of Your creation of the heavens and the earth in six days and Your ceasing to create during the seventh day. The Sabbath is a memorial of the exodus wherein we were freed from the bondage of con-stant work under slavery. The Sabbath is a mani-festation of the restoration of the age to come. It is a day for healing and freedom in Yeshua, through whom we enter into our rest with God. He is the Lord of the Sabbath and gives the Sabbath as a gift to man. Blessed are You, YAHWEH, who has given us the Sabbath.

5. You, YAHWEH, regather Your people from the

four corners of the earth and prepare the way for world redemption. You fulfill the promise to Israel

Page 54: Siddur for Netzarim - Nazarene Media - Home

54

and lead her to fulfill her calling. For in the last days, Israel will be a sign of the return of the Mes-siah Yeshua. She will herald His coming when she cries out, “Blessed is He who comes in the Name of YAHWEH.” Blessed are You, YAHWEH, who re-gathers the people of Israel.

6. You, YAHWEH, have established Your worldwide fellowship of all of Yeshua’s followers. They have been grafted into the Jewish olive tree. This fellowship is destined to be restored to power, unity, love, and a Jewish rooted self-understanding. Through the prayers and mercy of God’s people, through the Gospel message pro-claimed by the restored bride of the Messiah, and through the witness of the Netzari members of this fellowship, You will effect the salvation of Israel, who will call upon the name of Yeshua and be saved. Blessed are You, YAHWEH, who has estab-lished Yeshua’s congregation and Israel’s salva-tion.

7. You, YAHWEH, have promised to deliver Israel from all her enemies when she confesses her faith in Yeshua the Messiah. Then shall take place the resurrection of the bride of Messiah, at the last shofar, and the inauguration of the age to come. Then all the nations that survive shall celebrate the feast of Sukkoth together. Yeshua will rule with the ones resurrected from the dead; in that day the name of the Lord will be one. The nations will come to Your light; every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Yeshua is YAHWEH*. The knowledge of the YAHWEH shall cover the earth as the waters cover the seas. Blessed are You, YAHWEH, King of the universe,

Page 55: Siddur for Netzarim - Nazarene Media - Home

55

Who delivers Israel, established Jerusalem as the capital of the world in the age to come, and bringsworld redemption.

8. (Additional blessing for Chanukah)

As you have always preserved Your people so You did special miracles in the days of Mattiteyahu ben Yochanan, a true priest, and his sons. When a wicked government arose to require false worship and the forsaking of Your law, You used a remnant of faithful people that the truth of Your revelation would not perish off the face of the earth. You deliv-ered the many into the hands of the few. Against all odds, battles were repeatedly won by Your faithful remnant. So those who were unfaithful and were willing to forsake Your covenants were deposed and those who were faithful were established. The Tem-ple was rededicated with accompanying miracles. Of this temple, it was said that its latter glory would eclipse its former glory. Indeed, without the miracles of those days, the word would not have been ful-filled. Indeed, Your word was fulfilled and the Mes-senger of the Covenant, Yeshua the Messiah, came to the Temple. The lights that were rekindled on that Feast of Dedication remind us of the One who said, “I am the light of the world.” Yeshua, Who died as our true Temple Sacrifice and Who is our Great High Priest, rose from the dead. He is the light of Israel and the light of the world. Blessed are You, YAHWEH, for the deliverance of Israel in the days of the Macabees.

PRAYER FOR THE PEACE OF ISRAEL (responsively)

YAHWEH, we pray for the peace of Israel, not just that temporal external peace, but for the only true and lasting peace that comes through the Prince of Peace. May the light of the Good News of Yeshua the Messiah gain favor and understanding among our people in the land of our fathers. Remove the blindness from our leaders and those who un-knowingly oppose the truth of the Messiah Yeshua. Let the day come in which our leaders will call upon the name of Yeshua, ending centuries of anxiety and dispersion. Fulfill all your promises to your ancient people: to regather them to their land, to be delivered from their enemies, to be given their ancient heritage of blessing and priestly calling. You, YAHWEH, are our Shield and Fortress through Yeshua the Messiah our King.

A SCRIPTURE PRAYER FOR THE LAST DAYS

(responsively)

Blessed are You, YAHWEH our God and God of our fa-thers, God of Abraham, God of Isaac, and God of Jacob, the God and Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, the God who fulfills Your word in these days. As it is said: That those who believe in Me may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us that the world may believe that You sent Me … perfect in unity, and that You have loved them as You have loved Me. Fulfill Your word in these last days. That they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. (John 17) Fulfill Your word in these last days. The creation waits eagerly for the sons of God to be re-vealed. For creation itself will be set free from its bond-age to decay and will enjoy the freedom accompanying the glory that God’s children will have...for it groans and labors with birth pangs together until now… eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. (Romans 8) Fulfill Your word in these last days.

The fullness (of Israel) will bring much greater riches to the world … therefore, may those called from among the Gentiles provoke them of Israel to a zealous desire for

Page 58: Siddur for Netzarim - Nazarene Media - Home

58

Yeshua. For if their stumbling resulted in the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance (of Messiah) mean for the world? Life from the dead! (Romans 11) Fulfill Your word in these last days. Hardness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written … for through the mercy shown you they also may obtain mercy. (Romans 11) Fulfill Your word in these last days. Unto Israel Peter said, “Repent therefore and be delivered, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Yeshua the Messiah, Who was proclaimed to you be-fore, Whom heaven must receive until the times of the resto-ration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets.” (Acts 3) Fulfill Your word in these last days. For Yeshua said, “This good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” And to the leaders of Israel He said, “You shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Barukh haba bah shem YAHWEH, Blessed is He who comes in the name of YAHWEH!’” (Matthew 23, 24) Fulfill Your Word in these last days. Then YAHWEH will go forth and fight against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle. And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives … and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two … Thus YAHWEH will come and all the holy ones with you. (Zechariah 14)

Page 59: Siddur for Netzarim - Nazarene Media - Home

59

Fulfill Your word in these last days. And Yeshua shall be King over all the earth. In that day it shall be – YAHWEH is one, and His name one … Everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. (Zechariah 14) Fulfill Your word in these last days. In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the fringes of a Jewish man saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that YAHWEH is with you.” (Zechariah 8:23) Fulfill Your word in these last days. In the latter days, the mountain of YAHWEH’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains … and all nations shall flow to it … For out of Zion shall go forth the Torah, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem … and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation; neither shall they learn war anymore. (Isaiah 2) Fulfill Your word in these last days For the knowledge of YAHWEH shall cover the earth as the waters cover the seas. Fulfill Your word in these last days.

GOD’S ETERNAL PROMISES TO ISRAEL (responsively)

O, YAHWEH, our Father, the God of Abraham, God of Isaac, God of Jacob, the God and Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, You have given many promises to your ancient peo-ple, Israel. So we bring these promises to You in trust, knowing that as we pray them back to You, You will surely fulfill your Word. I will make you a great nation … I will bless those who bless you and curse him who curse you; and in you all the families of the earth will be blessed. (Genesis 12:2-3) By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you … have not withheld your son, your only son, in blessing I will bless you … I will multiply your descendants as the sand which is on the seashore, and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. (Genesis 22:16-17) Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, nor shall I abhor them to utterly de-stroy them and break My covenant with them; for I am the Lord their God. (Leviticus 26:44) It shall come to pass in that day that the Lord shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people who are left. (Isaiah 11:11) The days are coming, says YAHWEH, that they shall no longer say, “The Lord lives Who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,” but “As the Lord lives Who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where I had driven them.” And they shall dwell in their own land. (Jeremiah 16:14-15)

Page 61: Siddur for Netzarim - Nazarene Media - Home

61

He has remembered His covenant forever, the word which He commanded for a thousand generations … saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan as the allotment of your inheri-tance.” (Psalm 105: 8, 11) I will put my Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it.” (Ezekiel 37:14) And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written, “The Deliverer will come out of Zion, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; for this in My covenant with them, when I take away their sins.” (Romans 11:26-27)

OUR POSITION IN YESHUA (Adapted from Ephesians 1:17-21; 2:4-10, 3:16-20)

May the God of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, the Father of glory, give to us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, The eyes of our understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance among His holy ones,, And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Messiah when He raised Him from the dead, And seated Him at His right hand far above all principality and power and might and dominion. God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loves us, even when we were dead in trespasses,

Page 62: Siddur for Netzarim - Nazarene Media - Home

62

made us alive together with Messiah (by grace we have been delivered), and raised us up together in the heavenly places in Messiah Yeshua, That in the ages to come, He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Messiah Yeshua. For by grace we have been delivered through faith, and that not of ourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any-one should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Messiah Yeshua for good works, which YAHWEH prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. That He would grant us, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, That Messiah may dwell in our hearts through faith; that we being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to com-prehend with all the holy ones what is the width and length and depth and height of His great love, To know the love of Messiah which surpasses all understand-ing; that we may be filled with all the fullness of YAHWEH. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. To Him be glory in the congregation by Messiah Yeshua throughout all ages, world without end. Amain.

BLESSINGS OVER THE PEOPLE (One or more of the following blessings may be proclaimed)

(Numbers 6:24-26) YAHWEH bless you and keep you. YAHWEH make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; YAHWEH lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. (2 Corinthians 2:14-15) But thanks be to YAHWEH, Who in the Messiah constantly leads us in a triumphal procession and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of what it means to know him! For to God we are the aroma of the Messiah, both among those being saved and among those being lost. (Mathew 28:19-20) As all authority has been given to Yeshua, so I repeat His charge to you with the assurance of His ability in you; Therefore, go and make people from all nations into disci-ples, immersing them into the reality of the Father, the Son and the Ruach haKodesh, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember! I will be with you always, yes, even until the end of the age.” (Mark 16:15, 17-18) As you go throughout the world, proclaim the Good News to all creation. Whoever trusts and is immersed will be saved; whoever does not trust will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who trust: in My name they will drive out demons, speak with new tongues, not be injured if they handle snakes or drink poison, and heal the sick by laying hands on them.”

(2 Timothy 1:6-8) For this reason I am reminding you to fan the flame of God’s gift, which you received through the laying on of hands. For YAHWEH gave us a Spirit Who produces not

timidity, but power, love and self-discipline. So don’t be ashamed of bearing testimony to our Lord. On the contrary, accept your share in suffering disgrace for the sake of the Good News. YAHWEH will give you the strength for it. (Ephesians 1:17-20) The God of our Lord, Yeshua the Messiah, the glorious Fa-ther, may He give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you will have full knowledge of Him. I pray that He will give light to the eyes of your hearts, so that you will under-stand the future to which He has called you, what rich glo-ries there are in the inheritance He has promised His peo-ple, and how surpassingly great is His power working in us who trust Him. It works as the same mighty strength He used when He raised Messiah from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in heaven. (Ephesians 3:16-19) I pray that from the treasures of His glory He will empower you with inner strength by His Spirit, so that the Messiah may live in your hearts through your trusting. Also I pray that you will be rooted and founded in love, so that you, with all YAHWEH’s people, will be given strength to grasp the breadth, length, height and depth of the Messiah’s love, yes, to know it, even though it is beyond all knowing, so that you will be filled with all the fullness of God. (Ephesians 3:20-21) Now to Him Who by His power working in us is able to do far beyond anything we can ask or imagine, to Him be glory in the Netzarim Community and in the Messiah Yeshua from generation to generation forever. Amain. (Hebrews 13:20-21) The God of shalom brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep, our Lord Yeshua, by the blood of an eternal covenant. May God equip you with every good thing you need to do His will; and may He do in us whatever

pleases Him, through Yeshua the Messiah. To Him be the glory forever and ever. Amainn.

(Joshua 1:6, Matthew 7:24-26) And as you meditate on the Word of YAHWEH, be strong and of good courage. Your way will be prosperous and you will have good success. You will be like the wise man who built his house upon a rock, the floods came, the rain and the wind did blow upon that house, but it remained firm, for it was founded upon a rock. Even so, remain founded on the Rock of our salvation, Yeshua the Messiah.

DECLARATIONS OF TRUTH 1. I recognize that there is only one true and living God Who reveals Himself as Av (Father), Ben (Son) and Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit). I acknowledge He is not a “trinity” but, rather, Echad. He is worthy of all honor, praise and glory as the One Who made all things and holds all things to-gether. (Exodus 20:2-3; Colossians 1:16-17) 2. I recognize that Yeshua is the Messiah, the Word Who be-came flesh and dwelt among us. I believe that He came to destroy the works of the evil one, and that He disarmed the rulers and authorities and made a public display of them, having triumphed over them. (John 1:1,14; Colossians 2:15; 1 John 3:8) 3. I believe that YAHWEH demonstrated His own love for me in that while I was still a sinner, Messiah died for me. I be-lieve that He has delivered me from the domain of darkness and transferred me to His kingdom, and in Him I have re-demption and the forgiveness of sins. (Romans 5:8; Colossians 1:13-14) 4. I believe that in Messiah, I am now a child of YAHWEH and that I am seated with Messiah in the heavenlies. I believe that I was saved by the grace of God through faith, and that it was a gift and not a result of any works or merit on my part. (Ephesians 2:6,8-9; 1 John 3:1-3) 5. I choose to be strong in YAHWEH and in the strength of His might. I put no confidence in the flesh, for the weapons of my warfare are not of the flesh but are divinely powerful for the destruction of strongholds. I put on the full armor of God. I resolve to stand firm in my trust and resist the evil one. (2 Corinthians 10:4; Ephesians 6:10-20; Philippians 3:3)

6. I believe that apart from Messiah I can do nothing, so I declare my complete dependence on Him. I choose to abide in Messiah in order to bear much fruit and glorify my Father. I announce that Yeshua is my Savior. I reject any and all counterfeit gifts or works of the evil one in my life. (John 15:5, 8; 1 Corinthians 12:3) 7. I believe that the truth will set me free and that Yeshua is the truth. If He sets me free, I will be free indeed. I recog-nize that walking in the light is the only path of true fellow-ship between God and man. Therefore, I stand against all of the evil one’s deception by taking every thought captive in obedience to Messiah. I declare that the Holy Scriptures are the only authoritative standard for truth and life. (John 8:32, 36; 14:6; 2 Corinthians 10:5; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 John 1:3-7) 8. I choose to present my body to YAHWEH as a living and holy sacrifice, and the members of my body as instruments of righteousness. I choose to renew my mind by the living Word of God in order that I may prove that the will of God is good, acceptable and perfect. I put off the old self with its evil practices and put on the new self. I declare that in Mes-siah, I am a new creation. (Romans 6:13; 12:1-2; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Colossians 3:9-10) 9. By trusting, I choose to be filled with the Spirit so that I can be guided into all truth. I choose to walk by the Spirit so that I will not carry out the desires of the flesh. (John 16:13; Galatians 5:16; Ephesians 5:18) 10. I renounce all selfish goals and choose the ultimate goal of love. I choose to obey the two greatest commandments: to love YAHWEH with all my heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love my neighbor as myself. I obey the command to submit to YAHWEH and resist the evil one. (Deuteronomy 6:5; Matthew 22:37-39; 1 Timothy 1:5; James 4:7)

PRAYERS OF CONFESSION

Regarding Bitterness and Unforgiveness

I choose to not hold on to any resentments that I have against ________ (add name of person). I thank You for setting me free from the bondage of my bitterness. I relinquish my right to seek revenge and ask You, YAHWEH, to heal my damaged emotions. I now ask You to bless those who have hurt me.

Regarding Rebellion

I confess that I have been rebellious by ____________ (say what you specifically did). Thank You, O YAHWEH, for forgiv-ing my rebellion. I choose now to be submissive and obedi-ent to Your Word. By the blood of Messiah Yeshua, I pray that all ground gained by the evil one in my life due to my rebellion would be canceled.

Regarding Pride and Selfishness God of my fathers, You have said that pride goes before de-struction and an arrogant spirit before stumbling. I confess that I have been thinking mainly of myself and not of others. I have not denied myself, picked up my cross daily, and followed you. As a result, I have given ground to the evil one in my life. I have sinned by believing I could be happy and successful on my own. I confess that I have placed my will before Yours, and I have centered my life around myself instead of You. I repent of my pride and selfishness and pray that all ground gained in my members by the evil one would be canceled. I choose to rely on the Holy Spirit’s power and guidance so I will do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit. With humility of mind, I will regard others as more important than myself. I choose to make You, Lord, the center of my life. Please show me now all the specific ways in which I have lived my life in pride. Enable me through love to serve others and in honor to prefer others.

Prayer to Begin the Day

YAHWEH, my Father, I praise You and honor You as my Lord and Savior. You are in control of all things. I thank You that You are always with me and will never leave me or forsake me. You are the all-powerful and wise God. You are kind and loving in all Your ways. I love You and thank You that I am united with Messiah and am spiritually alive in Him. I choose not to love the world or the things in the world, and I call to death my evil inclination with all its passions. Thank You for the life I now have in Messiah Yeshua. I ask You to fill me with the Holy Spirit so I may say ‘no’ to sin and ‘yes’ to You. I declare my total dependence upon You, and I take my stand against the evil one and all his lying ways. I choose to believe the truth of Your word despite what my feelings and emotions may say. I refuse to be dis-couraged; You are the God of all hope. Nothing is too difficult for You. I am confident that You will supply all my needs as I seek to live according to Your word. I thank You that I can be content and live a responsible life through Messiah Who strengthens me. I now take my stand against the evil one and command him and all his cohorts to depart from me. I choose to put on the full armor of God so that I might be able to stand firm against his schemes. I submit my body as a living and holy sacrifice to You, my God, and I choose to renew my mind by the living Word of God. By doing so I will be able to prove that the will of God is good, acceptable and perfect for me. I ask all of this in the name of my Lord, Yeshua.

Hear O Israel, YAHWEH is one. Blessed be His great name Whose kingdom is forever and ever.

Prayer to End the Day

Thank You, YAHWEH, that You have brought me into Your family and have blessed me with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Messiah Yeshua. Thank You for this time of renewal and refreshment through sleep. I accept it as one of Your blessings for Your children, and I trust You to guard my mind and my body during my sleep. As I have thought about You and Your truth during the day, I choose to let those good thoughts continue in my mind while I am asleep. I commit myself to You for Your protection against every attempt of the evil one to attack me during sleep. Guard my mind from nightmares. I renounce all fear and cast every worry upon You, Lord. I commit myself to You as my Rock, my Fortress and my Strong Tower. May Your shalom be upon this place of rest. In the strong name of Yeshua my Messiah. Hear O Israel, YAHWEH is one. Blessed be His great name Whose kingdom is forever and ever.

Prayer to Cleanse and Commit my Home

God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, I acknowledge that You alone are the Lord of heaven and earth. In Your sovereign power and love, You have given me all things to enjoy. Thank you for this place to live. I claim this place as a place of spiri-tual safety for me and my family and ask for Your protection from all attacks of the enemy. As a child of God, I command every influence of the evil one, and the evil one himself to leave and never return. I renounce all evil words and curses directed against this place. I ask You, my Father in Heaven, to post Your holy angels around this place to guard it from any and all attempts of the enemy to enter and disturb Your purposes for me and my family. I thank You for doing this in the name of Yeshua.

Prayer to Overcome Anxiety

Heavenly Father, I come to You as Your child, delivered by the blood of Yeshua. I declare my dependence upon You, and I acknowledge my need of You. I know that apart from Mes-siah I can do nothing. You know the thoughts and intentions of my heart, and You know, from beginning to end, the situa-tion I now find myself in. I feel as though I am double minded, and I need Your peace to guard my heart and my mind. I humble myself before You and choose to trust You to exalt me at the proper time in any way You choose. I place my trust in You to supply all my needs according to Your riches in glory and to guide me into all truth. I ask for Your divine guidance so that I may fulfill my calling to live a re-sponsible life by faith in the power of Your Holy Spirit. “Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my anxious thoughts; and see if there be any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.”

Prayer to Overcome Fear

YAHWEH, I come to You as Your child. I put myself under Your protective care. I confess that I have been fearful and anxious because of my lack of trust and unbelief. I have not always lived by trust in You and too often I have relied on my own strength and resources. I thank You that I am forgiven in Messiah. I choose to believe the truth that You have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, of love and a sound mind. Therefore I renounce any spirit of fear. I ask You to reveal to my mind all the fears that have been controlling me. Show me how I have become fearful and the lies I have be-lieved. I desire to live a responsible life in the power of Your Spirit. Show me how these fears have kept me from doing that. I ask this so that I can confess, renounce and overcome every fear by trust in You.

The Netzarim Faith

... is the belief In YAHWEH, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. We believe His Son Yeshua is YAHWEH-Come-in-the-Flesh and the Redeemer spoken of in the Jewish Bible. We be-lieve that He is the Messiah for whom Jewish people all over the world, and throughout history have been waiting for. Netzarim, or Nazarenes, are the original followers of Yeshua who live according to Torah and the Ketuvim Netzarim (writings of the Netzarim) which includes adhering to the Sev-enth Day Sabbath and the Seven Feasts. Yeshua Mashiyach (Jesus the Messiah) made a way for each one to receive the anointing of the Ruach HaKodesh (Set-Apart Spirit) and learn His Word according to the Tanach (Torah - instructions in righteousness; Neviim - prophets; Ketuvim -writings) and Ketuvim Netzarim. We observe Torah as did Yeshua and His Talmidim (disciples). Netzari come from all manner of Christian, Jewish, atheist, Eastern and other religious backgrounds to live according to the Faith of Yeshua. We follow an ancient and future calendar based on Torah which is the authoritative Word of YAHWEH. For Netzarim the Good News or Gospel is the entire Bible. We regard Yeshua as Lawgiver and Teacher of all Righteousness.
