SPA SECURITIES LTD.SPA Securities Limitedis a SEBI registered securities broking Company. The Company is a member of Wholesale Debt Market, Capital Market and Futures and Options Segment of the National Stock Exchange of India Limited. The Company is also a registered member of the Over the Counter Exchange of India.

The Company is focused primarily on providing securities broking services to institutional clients and is empanelled as a approved securities broker with all the major Nationalized, Private and Co-operative banks, Corporate houses, Insurance Companies, Financial Institutions, Asset Management Companies and Provident Fund Trusts. The Company had a turnover of Rs. 25000 crores at NSE-WDM for the financial year ended March 2005.

EQUITY MARKETThe market in which shares are issued and traded, either through exchanges or over the-counter market. Also known as the stock market it is one of the most vital areas of a market economy because it gives company with the potential to realize gains based on its future performance.

TRADINGThe shares of a company are in general be transferrable from one shareholder to another . This leads to buying and selling of shares termed as trading.

Investors usually buy and sell shares on the exchanges through a stock brokers registered with the exchange.

RESEARCH METHORDLOGYResearch methodology is a way to systematically solve the research problem.

Why a research study has been undertaken, how a research problem has been defined, in what way and why the hypothesis has been formulated, what data have been collected and what particular method has been adopted, why particular technique of analyzing data has been used and a host of similar other questions are usually answered when we talk of research methodology concerning a research problem or study.

RESEARCH DESIGNI have adopted descriptive and conclusive research design. Descriptive research is those studies, which are concerned with describing the characteristics of a particular individual or a group. Since the aim is to obtain the accurate information about the customer in terms of his interest towards investment in stock market. I have used the techniques of questioning customer in order to know their consumer behavior, their interests, their needs & etc.

It is very important to study the mind of the customer so that the personal visit would not be a waste of time, money and efforts.

OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDYMain Objective The main objective is to Study the behavior of consumer towards equity market.

Specific ObjectiveCreating customer;Marketing of the product;Creating relationship with the customer to have there sources;Motivating customer for trading;

SOURCE OF DATAPRIMARY DATA:These include the survey or questionnaire method as well as the personal interview methods of data collection.

SECONDARY DATA:These include books, the internet, company brochures, product brochures, the company website, competitors websites etc, newspaper articles etc.

RESEARCH ANALYSISMajority of investors trade according to expert the daily traders.

Majority of investors take the decision on investment (where/what amount to invest)on their own idea and some rely on experts opinion and brokers advice.

The satisfaction level regarding services by brokers of phone service & professional advice is very low.

Most of the investors feel that online trading is more transparent than the older form of trading.

Most of the people are aware of different charges charged by the brokers (Demat charges, transaction charges, service charges, etc.).

Most of the investors are not satisfied with phone services provided by the brokers,The major problem faced by the investors is of brokers attitude towards small investors is not same as with the big investors. Another major problems faced by the investors is to decide where/what amount is invested.

LIMITATION1. Data Collection:The most important constraint in this study was data collection as Secondary data was selected for study. Secondary data means data that are already available i.e. they refer to the data which have already been collected and analysed by someone else.2. Time Period:Time period was one of the main factor as only one month was allotted and the topic Covered in research has a wide scope. So, it was not possible to cover it in a short span of time.3. Reliability: The data collected in research work was secondary data, so, this puts a question mark on the reliability of this data, which a very important factor of this study as conclusion has been derived from this secondary data only.4. Accuracy:The facts and findings of the data cannot be accepted as accurate to some extent as Firstly, secondary data was collected. Secondly, for doing descriptive research time needed to be more, because in short period you cannot cover each point accurately.

SUGGESTIONProfessional advice should be made available in the city.Brokers should transfer the deliveries/payments to the investors in time.Brokers should deal all the investors in same respect.The phone service should be made prompt.

LEARNING OF SUMMER TRANINGLearning in 30 Days of my summer training with SPA Securities:Basic practical knowledge about stock market, online and off line both online trading is done by customers direct through their home and offline is done through phone.Get knowledge about the different department at SPA Securities ltd. like Risk management, IT, Mutual Fund, Insurance.Get knowledge about De-mat accounts and then how to convince the customers to open an account.Get knowledge about cold calling practically.Increase in confidence level.Give respect to your working place and be faithful with your company.I got many tips regarding marketing to achieve the target.

CONCLUSION

Stock market fluctuates by the external environment.Stock market is very sensitive market.Stock market is all about future prediction.It is based on higher risk & high return.
